Baththa belies the usual gangster tropes - the narrative is surprising, moving, deeply emotional & funny. @VijaySethuOffl is fabulous but the find is child artist Sai Prithiviraj who matches him. Dir Balaji Tharaneetharan tells the story with sensitivity & affection! Do watch

#BaththaReview: Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Prithviraj bring warmth and humour to Balaji Tharaneetharan’s period drama about an unlikely friendship and redemption. Despite a few narrative inconsistencies, the film finds its strength in an engaging central relationship and a terrific lead performance, writes Rohit Panikker. Rating: 4/5 #VijaySethupathi #Baththa filmfare.com/reviews/south-m…

A 90-year-old man’s last theatre experience was #Mudhalvan 📽️ On his birthday, he watched #Baththa and felt heartful❤️ Truly #Baththa is a blockbuster beyond numbers💯

This film will easily work out on all the centres in India. So you can release the film in northern states too. The film should reach widely especially for the little boy Sai’s performance👏 More accolades on your way @Atlee_dir

#Baththa – A beautiful movie ❤️ with a good story, humanity, excellent humour, and moments that deserve applause throughout. Very good casting and performances, and every close-up of every face is just superb. Best-quality & soulful performance by @VijaySethuOffl . The little boy #SaiPrithivRaj deserves a National Award. @jose_lijomol is so natural and graceful. @SaiAbhyankkar ‘s background score is fresh and unconventional, and it lifts some scenes to another level. So many touching moments filled with innocence and emotion. Congratulations to producers @Atlee_dir, @priyaatlee for producing such a quality blockbuster. @MuradKhetani #AlokJain @AndhareAjit One more unforgettable film from director #BalajiTharaneetharan.
