An experimental weight-loss drug slashed breathing interruptions during sleep so dramatically that one in four non-diabetic patients saw their sleep apnea completely disappear. Retatrutide, an investigational GLP-1 by Eli Lilly, improved more than 50% of obstructive sleep apnea symptoms in 68% of participants over 80 weeks, according to a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Researchers say the results could reduce reliance on CPAP machines, which remain the frontline treatment for the condition that affects over 50 million Americans — 80% of whom are undiagnosed. I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light. But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance. Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.

BREAKING: Neuroscientists confirm that an under-stimulated ADHD brain will unconsciously pick an argument or poke a sibling just to manufacture a hit of adrenaline—which is why your house erupts into chaos the exact second everyone is bored. When the external environment goes quiet and flat, an ADHD nervous system scrambles to fill the gap:1/6

Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski and Tony Gonzalez aren’t available. Which NFL tight end are you picking to make a catch on 4th and 10 with the game on the line?

Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida. I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage. In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

For an Iranian to boost this tells me there’s some serious social engineering going on, on a massive scale.
BREAKING: Japan to urge all citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of food and water in preparation for major disasters and events, with an official emergency request set for November 2. "At least three days, and I'd like to say a week if possible… please prepare food, toilets, and water properly at home even without public assistance," Japan's Disaster Management says. It comes just 2 days after the Pentagon started to prepare every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war. The UK launched the "Be Ready" program 5 days ago, also advising all citizens to keep 3 days of key supplies, including bottled water, non-perishable food, and a battery or wind-up FM radio.

A black man, the director of the soccer league, called the cops on this kid’s mom for harassing him. His parents then turned around and exploited their child to push a victimhood narrative. Ridiculous.
Racists don't know what they've done to this little boy

I suspect that many people who are still obese and resisting GLP1s have this fear because “it can’t be that easy” how can something that costs less than $50-100 a month change your life. It’s hard to believe in miracles when you have struggled with your own body for so long.

You know what wrecked me when I was newly Christian? Genesis 22. For years as a Muslim, I was told the story was about Ishmael. Then I actually read it. I think the bigger topic isn't Isaac or Ishmael. It's this: Why would God ask Abraham to sacrifice his son in the first place? What kind of God does that? The answer hit me like a freight train, because it shattered my Muslim worldview. God wasn't being cruel, He was painting a picture. Abraham never goes through with sacrificaing Isaac. God stops him, then God provides a ram in his place. That action is not just a test or an isolated story: That's prophetic. It's a blueprint. The blueprint goes: A father. A son. A sacrifice. A substitute. You see where I am going with this. Genesis 22 is actually the heartbeat of the Gospel. God was foreshadowing the day when He Himself would provide the sacrifice. Not for one man. Not only for one family. But for the whole world. Of course, salvation wasn't earned by Abraham's performance. It came through God's provision. You can recieve this substitute and gift. Here's what made me stop and think: The Quran retells the story of Genesis 22, but removes the name of the son. Why? Because once you start following the thread through Genesis, the prophets, and the covenant promises, you eventually have to wrestle with the Lamb that comes later. You have to wrestle with Jesus. The perfect sacrifice that every previous sacrifice pointed toward. And that's when I realized: The story was never ultimately about Abraham. It was always about what God was going to do for us. And there's nothing we can do to earn His approval! We can only receive the sacrifice He already provided.

You mean, they should have scored and give the packers the ball back with 1 minute left? When they could just sit down there and burn up the rest of the clock to make sure Jordan love never got his hands on the ball again? Wow. People are so dumb.

Reading Dracula has solidified the conviction that my children will never see Twilight while I can help it. It’s not the idea of vampires themselves that is so morally abhorrent, it’s their being portrayed as good. Vampire stories should stir hatred for beings that so sacrilegiously abuse the life blood, not humanize them.

Moment an American pastor and prophetess, who are both married, introduce a new wife to their congregation and announce that they are now in a polygynous marriage with a female church member, claiming it is the “will of God.” 😭🤦🏾‍♂️🙆🏾‍♂️

I do sincerely believe that too. I believe the US, with all its faults, is the glue that's kinda keeping the civilization together. Without it, you have intense factional warfare and constant global upheaval. No checks or balances. No accountability, even if selective. Even in a jungle it's important to have a king. Notice how the current upheaval in the MidEast coincides with the reduction in U.S. influence in the region. When U.S. influence recedes, that's what usually follows. I suspect we will find the same case in Europe.
Thiel: “There is no successor. When the US is done, the West is done, and the world is done.” — if you truly believed this, what would you do?

Hey @BWWings, I had a friend join us for the 1pm games. She had just finished working out and brought in a water bottle to hydrate. She was berated and scolded for no reason and told to take her water bottle back to her car. She does that no problem and move on. We come to this BDubs every Sunday to watch games and enjoy our time. I understand your rules of no outside drinks, but is your staff eating @McDonalds in the bar area also allowed? Asking for a friend… As a side bar, we were in Fishers, Indiana and our waitress has been nothing but good to us every week we’ve been there. This woman and the dude with her taking a lunch break though, not so much.
