The edge is in the inputs.
The person who consumes from better sources, gets better thoughts. The person who asks better questions, gets better answers. The person who builds better habits, gets better results.
It’s not the outcomes. It’s the inputs.

Secularism and Religion are both all about your personal performance. The Gospel is the performance of another applied to you.

We have to be careful not to elevate our preferences to moral standards and judge others by them. We only do so to feel superior.

The Hebrew verb yarad means “to go down.” Jonah yarads big time. When God commands him to go to Nineveh, Jonah goes down to Joppa, goes down to a ship, and goes down into the hold of the ship. Each time yarad is used. But Jonah isn't finished. He finally goes down into the sea, into the belly of the fish, and into the face of death itself. Then, and only then, he "remembers Yahweh" (2:7).
Jonah’s descent is the human condition. We too remember the Lord, but it's usually after we’ve gone down so far that the only option left is to look up. When we do, there is the Lord, looking us in the eye with grace and mercy. For he is the God who meets us at the bottom.

Michael Jordan really scored THREE THOUSAND points in a single season (1986-87)
It hadn’t been done since Wilt in 1962-63, and it hasn’t been done since
The top three totals since are:
-MJ in 1987-88 (2,868)
-Kobe in 2005-06 (2,832)
-Harden in 2018-19 (2,818)
Jayson Tatum led the NBA this season with 2,225, Joel Embiid finished second with 2,183
To reach his total of 3,041, MJ played all 82 games and averaged 37.1 PPG, the highest non-Wilt single-season scoring average in NBA history
He shot a career-best 85.7% on a career-high 11.9 FTA/G that season
It was his first of seven straight and ten total scoring titles. Ditto for All-NBA 1st Team selections
In order to break 3,000, a player would need to average:
36.6 for 82
37.1 for 81
37.5 for 80
38.0 for 79
38.5 for 78
39.0 for 77
39.5 for 76
40.0 for 75
It’s not untouchable, but it might be close

I wake up thinking about how the older I get the more I see ppl who desire the limelight, being in it or getting close to others in it… while, I simply want to surround myself w/ good ppl who are rooted in love, compassion & unselfishness, ppl that enjoy just sharing life w/ me!
