Wait, hot take: what if Republic Forest isn’t actually in Republic City? The light on the map puts it directly on the swamp/the giant tree. People keep saying it’s possibly Feather Mountain, but the mountains are where Omashu was. Nothing air-related. (1/?)

Also, here's a fun theory for y'all, Republic Forest is not in Republic City but instead somewhere familiar teapawt.org/AustinMinick/status/21…

WAIT, also, light blue is the sound chakra blocked by lies! AND THEY KNOW THE TRUTH... THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T INTERACT WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD... TOPH KNOWS THE TRUTH... IT'S THE TREE I TELL YOU; THE TREE IS REPUBLIC FOREST
Additionally, I don't think it would make sense, story-wise, to have 2 Earth cities, but rather a city for each nation. Feather Mountain is likely an air temple. BUT if we sit down and think about why Republic City would be here, we have to look at who lives there, Toph Beifong
