Why does binding a fly to Flymoon cost OBRAIN? And how can you build your colony without spending 550K? Here's how the Flymoon economy works. 1/ Binding your Flybook fly Binding transfers your Flybook fly into Flymoon while preserving its genome and stats. Your original fly is not burned. It remains locked, and the Flymoon NFT represents your claim to it. After 7 days, the Flymoon holder can unbind it for 10,000 OBRAIN. 2/ Why are flies #1–#388 free? These 388 flies existed before Flymoon launched: 333 Gen-0 founders and 55 Gen-1 offspring. Their owners were among the earliest participants in the Flybook experiment. As a benefit for these early supporters, binding is free apart from network gas. 3/ Why do newer flies pay a binding fee? Without a binding cost, players could continuously breed inexpensive flies in Flybook and introduce unlimited new supply into Flymoon. Binding fees help regulate supply and protect the game's economic balance. Fees depend on rank: N: 100,000 OBRAIN R: 200,000 OBRAIN SR: 350,000 OBRAIN SSR: 550,000 OBRAIN These fees go to the treasury, not individual wallets. 4/ You don't need an SSR to get started There are several ways to build your Flymoon colony: Bind an existing Flybook fly. Purchase a new Rank N Flymoon for 200,000 OBRAIN during the official sale, limited to 20 per day. Buy Flymoon NFTs, Pupa eggs, or items from other players on OpenSea. 5/ Battle, level up, and grow Every Flymoon receives 20 wingbeats per day, resetting at 18:00 UTC. Each wingbeat lets you enter a duel in one of three orchards: New Moon: Levels 1–20 Half Moon: Levels 21–40 Full Moon: Levels 41–60 Battles cost 50, 100, or 200 u-OBRAIN depending on the orchard. Winning earns more nectar and 5 EXP. Losing still earns nectar and 3 EXP. 6/ Turn nectar into Pupa eggs Collect 1,000 nectar to mint a Pupa NFT. Opening a Pupa can reveal upgrade materials, u-OBRAIN, or even a new Flymoon. Higher-rank flies produce more nectar, and leveling up improves their performance. 7/ Build a stronger colony More flies mean more daily wingbeats and more opportunities to collect nectar. For example, a Rank N Level 1 fly winning all 20 daily battles can collect approximately 400 nectar. That's roughly one Pupa every 2.5 days. Three such flies could collectively produce enough nectar for more than one Pupa per day. 8/ What can you trade? u-OBRAIN is an in-game resource and cannot be withdrawn. Instead, players can trade eligible NFTs and items on OpenSea, including: Unopened Pupa Upgrade materials Leveled-up Flymoon NFTs Bound Flymoon NFTs carrying their original Flybook flies Actual earnings depend on market demand. Nothing is guaranteed. 9/ The bigger picture Flybook studies digital organisms and their neural behavior. Flymoon gives those organisms a new environment where ownership, progression, resource management, and trading interact. You don't need the rarest fly to participate.
