Today marks the 35th anniversary of Diamonds and Pearls! 💜
Released in 1991, the thirteenth studio album was the first to feature The New Power Generation. Diamonds and Pearls was a commercial success, as it received platnium certification in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and France.
To only name a few, the album produced iconic hits such as “Gett Off”, “Cream”, and “Money Don’t Matter 2 Night”.

September 8th 1993 In the early hours of the morning, O{+> & The New Power Generation took the stage at Bagley’s Warehouse, a hot (and leaky) London club, and delivered one of the most unforgettable aftershow performances ever.
Packed wall-to-wall with around 3,000 fam who waited hours in hope of a show , the energy was electric. Joined by the incredible Mavis Staples and The Steeles, O{+> turned a gritty warehouse into a church of funk!
Parts of the performance were eventually released nearly two years later as The Sacrifice of Victor home video.
