Asked about Mikal Bridges not playing in some fourth quarters, Mike Brown notes that Landry Shamet was playing well on Monday (22 pts). As he he’s said before, if someone is playing well on a given night, Brown is going to use them.

This reads to me as a team that’s playing too slow, not letting their defense create easy points, and a lot of settling.
On top of the fact, that collectively the Knicks have shot the ball poorly.
The defense and rebounding is up to the standard we’ve seen, but the offensive pace and shot making is not.
Think it’s a combination of playing faster, getting easier looks at the rim, attacking the rim and getting to the line, and simply just making shots you’ve been accustomed to making.
But there are some really strong indicators this team can really get going if they start to get a spark lit.

After the Hornets traded LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges Michael Jordan called Jeff Peterson to make sure Brandon Miller wasn't next, per @ZachLowe_NBA
"About 14 months after that meeting [between Jordan and Miller], as the Hornets completed their offseason revamp by trading Miles Bridges to the Phoenix Suns, Peterson's phone rang. It was Jordan. The former owner wanted to make sure that Peterson wasn't trading Miller too, Peterson reassured Jordan: Miller was staying."

J.J. McCarthy told me when he first saw Joe Milton III throw at Michigan, he thought: “Oh my God. There’s no way I’m gonna play here.”
Now McCarthy & “J Milly” are about to face off as the Giants’ & Eagles’ QBs in an unlikely NFC East showdown of (brief) former college teammates

The trade will not be finalized in time for Jacoby Brissett to play Thursday night vs. Jacksonville. But once it is, he will be expected to make his debut in Week 10 on Monday Night Football versus the Chargers.
Trade: the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade to send QB Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens, per @RapSheet and me. Deal is expected to be completed this weekend.
The Ravens lost QB Lamar Jackson to a thumb injury, and his backup Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to turf toe.
