The problem with you people is that you create an agenda in your heads and assume it's reality. This is Nigeria's trade balance trend. What is obvious? Look at the huge jump since 2024! We are exporting more than we import. That shows productivity gain and the support a weaker Naira is given us. It also shows how reforms in the foreign exchange market is bearing fruit.

Because Nigeria wants to sell its gas. The value of the gas in the ground far oustrips the cost of the pipeline which is shared. Europe wants to diversify away from Russian gas. That's a huge opportunity to capture. By your logic why would we build LNG plants when we are selling to Europe. Why is Europe not building it?
