Yep, bought that Outgrowth preset pack by Trajectoire, some lovely things in there. This is a slight tweak of one of them, being played by midi coming from @Azul3dApps Piano Motifs, using the new function in piano motifs where you can get the midi to automatically speed up and slow down over time. I’ve still only scratched the surface of Irio Pro, and there are things I’d find hard to get used to about the workflow compared to something like AUM. This is a short demo of Particle Chimes (standalone and AUv3 synth for iPad, iPhone, also runs on Silicon Macs) by Plastic Factory. The sound engine is built mainly using Mutable Instruments Rings and Clouds. The built in visualizer is a nice touch. It has some built in sequencing options, though here I used Piano Motifs to generate the main sequence. But I’m also from time to time playing notes by tapping the visuals, as well as using the little yellow strip along the bottom to play notes. Another interesting twist on Mutable Rings, pity it’s not MPE though. ⁘ RingsFX ⁘ based on Mutable Instruments Rings! 🪐 I love physical modeling - so I am quite excited about the new RingsFX app (iPad / iPhone / M1 Mac) by 4Pockets. This is, of course, based on Mutable Instruments Rings. I did a detailed walkthrough on the Virsyn RingZ module for Tera Pro a while ago. Tera Pro is an incredibly powerful synth, and that has many features which RingsFX doesn’t. However, RingsFX has at least one truly massive advantage over the RingZ module in Tera Pro, because RingsFX can be used as an effect. So here, for example, I am feeding it some manipulated grandfather clock samples (free on the @CaelumAudio website, ‘Terror Clock’). The clock sounds are acting as the exciter, RingsFX is the resonator, and the midi I am sending in from Piano Motifs by @Azul3dApps is what’s creating the basis for the melody. I like other resonator apps like Objeq by AAS, but it cannot receive midi notes in this way. By the way, Paul from @4Pockets is undergoing cancer treatment (again) at the moment, so I’m sure any sales of this will be a help to him in this difficult time, and I’m doubly sure I speak for all in the community when I wish Paul a speedy and complete remission. 🔥🙏 #physicalmodeling #synth #resonator #mutableinstruments #AUv3
