Really interesting post. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is clearly not “one way” to be successful. It would be really interesting to hear what experiences have driven these views.
In my experience, players want to improve. They’ve grown up with data/ technology/ sport science - in Academies and in their day-to-day lives. This strikes me as a fear of the new. Why not be open minded and inquisitive? Why not find out how this stuff is actually being used?

Hard to link such stats with any one factor but not surprised by these associations. Change always has consequences in the short term

Trip to the north east with @liam_anderson5 today. The rainbow wasn’t the brightest thing. Meeting colleagues who I’d never met before and talking about their projects was a great start to the week! Thanks @CMusham & @LJMasonN

Can’t pour from an empty cup!
Sports practitioners neglect their own health. We are focused so much on our athletes, what about ourselves?

Looking forward to reading this article. I guess those involved in elite sports will recognise the potential for this relationship so be interesting to see the detail
Great to see this out! The relationship between psychological safety and mental health has been poorly defined thus far. Had a lot of fun thinking about how this may occur, with a team of amazing co-authors. Our latest, open access in @SportsMedicineJ doi.org/10.1007/s40279-023-0…
