It's #RoadSafetyWeek and as road traffic accidents are one of the main reasons that patients need to be air-lifted to hospital helipads, we are asking people to drive safely and take care out there especially during the winter months.

Our BASICS scheme is 30 years old. It’s typical of many, and this piece shows how small steps taken over years, often led by passionate volunteers, can have a positive impact. Well done to the original crew, and thanks to those who support BASICS schemes in their communities.
