***BCW 73 RESULTS***
On Friday 30 October 2026 night BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 73 took place and produced the following results:
Match 1 – BCW Heavyweight Championship:
Blue Demon Jr (c) Vs Johnathan Preston
Blue Demon Jr returned to defend the BCW Heavyweight Championship against Johnathan Preston in a technical contest that could have gone either way. Blue Demon Jr was impressive with his structured attack, however Johnathan's ability to withstand pain even when pounded on the outside steel was equally as impressive. Blue Demon Jr looked for every advantage before Preston found his own advantage pinning Blue Demon Jr for the three-count victory to become the new BCW Heavyweight Champion.
Winner: … and NEW BCW Heavyweight Champion Johnathan Preston via pinfall
Match 2 – Gauntlet Match: Jamie Tagataese Vs Cletus; Vs Bush Kelly
The Big Man looked at Cletus like he had not yet eaten since last week and even with Cletus’ best shots, the Bogan could not withstand the inevitable. Tagataese hoisted Cletus up for the War Hammer and pinned him.
Jamie Tagataese Def Cletus via pinfall
Bush Kelly immediately entered the ring to go hammer and tong with The Big Man, shaping up to him, which included bringing The Big Man off his feet. However before too long Tagataese took back control powering up Bush Kelly for the War Hammer followed by the pinfal.
Jamie Tagataese Def Bush Kelly via pinfall
Winner: Jamie Tagataese
Match 3 – BCW Tag Team Championship:
The Bastard Brothers [Krackerjak & Gore] Vs Syd Parker & El Negativo
El Negativo as the honorary Hermanos Bastardos accompanied the Champions to the ring. However in a shock turn before the opening bell, El Negativo misted Gore and revealed himself to be Syd Parker’s mystery tag team partner. Once the match started, The Bastard Brothers were a step behind, but almost pulled off the title retention until the team in paint found a way to secure the pinfall.
Winners: … and NEW BCW Tag Team Champions Syd Parker & El Negativo via pinfall
Match 4 – BCW Battle Express Championship:
Levi Nixon (c) Vs Sean Preston
Levi and Sean went back and forth with different pinning attempts in fast and furious action. Sean almost made his mother proud, by becoming the second Preston to win gold in one night. However as time ticked by, the unhinged Nixon pinned Sean out of a flurry to retain his title.
Winner: … and STILL BCW Battle Express Champion Levi Nixon via pinfall
Match 5 – Singles Match:
Mick Moretti Vs Ryan Rapid
A moment for Rapid to shine or a moment for Moretti to remind the Battle Kingdom just who he is. This match had absolutely everything and just when Rapid thought he had it all won, Moretti created a new timeline as he nailed Rapid with the curb stomp for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Mick Moretti via pinfall
ANNOUNCEMENT: Prior to intermission the first huge announcement for BCW 74: 10th Anniversary Show was revealed and it was RHINO who has called out Gore!
Match 6 – 8th Annual 15-Wrestler Battle Rumble:
Maddog Vs Sam Yannis Vs Ben Vs Breakfast Vs This Guy Vs Carlo Cannon Vs Sketch Vs Zhan Wen Vs Barry Lucky O’Leary Vs Christian Clutch Vs Anth Cava Vs DCT Vs The Artist Formerly Known as Lockie Vs Jordie Sparkles Vs Pogo The Clown
15 wrestlers entered and only one was left standing. Ben & Breakfast started the contest as 1 and 2, not sure whether to team and battle each other. This Guy was impressive in how he managed to hang around to the very end, as was Sam Yannis who looked to be the winner. Pogo The Clown spooked the field, while the ending saw Maddog victorious as he eliminated Yannis and then eliminated the sneaky This Guy who almost stole the whole match.
After the match the new BCW Heavyweight Champion, Johnathan Preston appeared and Madodg challenged him to make their BCW Heavyweight Championship Match, a Steel Cage Match.
Winner: Maddog Last Eliminating This Guy and earning a BCW Heavyweight Championship Match
Match 7: BCW Women’s Championship
Miki Fortune (c) Vs Rochelle Rogue
Rochelle Rogue received the opportunity of a lifetime after Cherry Stephens fell ill and held her own against the Champion. However a frustrated Miki Fortune did what good Champions do and found a way to win albeit with the use of the ropes.
Winner: … and STILL BCW Women’s Champion, Miki Fortune via pinfall
Match 8: Retirement Match:
PJ Black Vs Famous B
Famous B waltzed to the ring with BCW Battle Express Champion, Levi Nixon and Anth Cava, each of them holding the champagne. PJ Black entered the Battle Kingdom prime and ready to go. Before the match even started, PJ Black took out Nixon and Cava with respective bottle shots rendering them a non-factor. The Match eventually got underway but only after it was announced as a ‘NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH’. Famous and Black laid it all on the line, with a Spanish fly by Black moments in. Thereafter it was a pick’em contest as neither man wanted to retire. In the final moments of the match Famous B and PJ Black each grabbed a bottle and started swinging as they emulated an old fashion dual before nailing each other. Famous B landed on the Darewolf and three seconds later PJ Black’s career was no more.
After Famous B left through the curtain, PJ Black was applauded for a career that was by all members of the Battle Kingdom including the wrestlers from the back. PJ spoke to the fans from the heart with tears streaming down his face as this was it.
Winner: … Famous B via pinfall (PJ Black is now retired)
ANNOUNCEMENT: Just before the fans exited the arena the second huge announcement for BCW 74: 10th Anniversary was revealed and it was THE SANDMAN!
