Delightful Dandelion update. Dandelion has been with us exactly 14 weeks, when we rescued him from a veterinary surgery, the very people who had the resources to care for him, yet neglected him, and denied him care for over 2 weeks. The quick thinking team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery arranged and emergency ( and unconventional) blood transfusion that literally saved his life. Fast forward.. Dandelion is is doing amazing but is still requiring regular monitoring, Blood tests and daily medication. Due to the nature of his medication Dandelion remains in isolation as he can't start his vaccinations and remains immunocompromised. We are looking at alternative environments so that his care can continue in a less clinical environment. Could you donate the cost of a Pumpkin Latte towards Dandelions ongoing care . * The easiest way to donate is via PayPal using [email protected] as the recipient. please select the friends and family option so we are not charged a fee. *you can donate by calling our vets at Northcote and making a card payment. Their telephone number is 01274 632222. Please quote BCWR. *another way to donate is via a monthly standing order or by bank transfer for individual donations. You will need the following information to do this: Acct Name: BCWR KITTENS Sort code: 77.71.62 Acct number: 15692060 We also welcome donations via a cheque. The rescue address is BCWR, 1 Ashbourne Ave Bradford BD2 4AW. Cheques are to be made payable to BCWR KITTENS. Many thanks

Marble Marble is an approx 18 month old male DSH. He was brought into a vet practice when he was found by the side of the road with injuries to his hind limbs, which X-rays revealed to be due to a fractured pelvis. He was taken home by one of the veterinary nurses ( also one of our fosterers) and has been kept on crate rest for the past six weeks. Marble is an incredibly sweet and playful little chap who loves a cuddle, a chin scratch, and a wand toy! X-rays taken this weekend show that his pelvis is healing well but he has had to have his tail amputated due to nerve damage. He’s taken this in his stride and is continuing his crate rest like an angel while he mends. He loves his dry food (currently Iams, but also Hills) and uses his litter tray with wooden pellets well. An indoor home is essential for him. Despite everything he has been through, he’s such an affectionate and loving lad and will make someone a wonderful companion. Whole Marble will be ready for a new home in around 3 weeks.

Wensleydale and Stilton update This pair have been through so much and are finally ready for rehoming. Kittens jabd cats ust love being together; anyone who has watched two kittens play together can see how much they enjoy chasing and playing with each other and then collapsing in a heap together to sleep. Growing up, they continue to provide vital company for each other – essential if everyone is out of the house for any length of time during the day. All a single kitten in a new home wants is its mum and litter mates. It is good for kittens to grow up with another member of their own species, as they learn how to be normal cats through playing together – for the same reasons people take puppies to the park or dog classes to socialise with other puppies, and human children are taken to playgroups to mix with other children. The comfort a pair gain from each other helps minimise the stress of being rehomed. Many rescued kittens are initially shy and to face a new home on their own could be very frightening. If you already have an adult cat then it is generally easier to introduce a pair of kittens rather than a single kitten – a resident cat will initially be hostile to a new arrival whether kitten or adult, a pair will stick together, and existing cats can either play with them or leave them as they wish. Throughout their lives a pair of cats provide companionship for each other. Cats can live 18-20 years and during this time your life is likely to change – a pair of cats who have each other will cope better with events such as home moves, changing working patterns – in particular working longer hours, new cats in the neighbourhood, the arrival of a new baby etc. If you are interested in adopting a bonded pair please complete the pre adoption enquiry form by clicking the link below and quoting double trouble bcwr-kittens.co.uk/adoption-…
