Happy #StPatricksDay! Green ink usage in U.S. #currency continued after small-sized notes were introduced in 1929 because it was available in large quantities and resistant to chemicals and physical changes used by counterfeiters at the time.

All BEP operations at both facilities will be closed December 24 to Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for the annual shutdown. Incoming mail and special deliveries are suspended during this time. Normal operations resume Thursday, January 2, 2025.
