First time I've seen this. Asked to review (for a @SpringerNature journal) and received an AI generated paper that includes the notes that it has removed the faked data at multiple points in the manuscript that were in previous drafts. What are we even doing here?
I know this guy actually knows better but this is wrong. Numerical simulation + results in minutes is obviously wrong because many numerical models are computationally intensive. What is up with academics bullshitting for twitter likes?

Gave up sweets, chips, and fries for lent.
HRV is through the roof despite increasing workout intensities, and resting heart rate is at 46 for the first time in a long time (from Garmin).
On the other hand, I miss chocolate and Easter goodies everywhere I look is depressing.
Placing Singapore here is... a choice?
Replying to @bryan_johnson
Why is it inevitable?
Four fundamental shifts are happening right now:
1) We are giving birth to superintelligence (AI).
2) No existing ideology solves AI alignment.
3) With AI, our species’ survival is not guaranteed.
4) With AI, individual biological death is no longer inevitable.
We are at risk of extinction without a unifying framework to solve human alignment and AI alignment.
What the actual fuck?
Not saying the work isn't a big deal, but a Nobel in physics for it? Come on...

NEW: We have the University of Rochester's 124-page investigation report. A committee of external reviewers made an unequivocal finding: Dias falsified and fabricated data, and he committed serial plagiarism—including in his 2020 NSF proposal.

One year ago today, Ranga Dias published an extraordinary claim: a room temperature superconductor at moderate pressure. The paper was retracted, amid allegations of scientific misconduct.
For Nature’s news team, I investigated how it all transpired. nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

This exciting paper shows AI design of materials, robotic synthesis. 10s of new compounds in 17 days.
But did they?
This paper has very serious problems in materials characterisation. In my view it should never have got near publication. Hold on tight let's take a look 😱
🚀 Exciting News! Our A-Lab has revolutionized inorganic materials discovery! Combining ab-initio calculations, historical data from literature, and robotic testing, we're rapidly uncovering new compounds. 🤖
