Watching the '84 Olympic gold medal hoops game in L.A. ... US vs. Spain. Bob Knight starting Jordan, Perkins and Ewing in frontcourt, didnt have to deal with Russians, on home soil and still got a technical less than 10 minutes after opening tip. Game has changed a bit in 40 years. Lot of post touches.

Golf, at its essence, is an individual sport. The fortunate few have a dependable caddie to help them along the way. But each golfer is unique - ask anu caddie - in subtle yet specific ways. The routine creates a rhythm essential to their success. Even a mild disturbance can disrupt the procedure and adversely affect their performance when competing at this elite level. Monsters of habit they are - or can be.
Anyone who believes they are a top competitive golfer or asoires to be or even anyone who appreciates elite performance, should watch the short game clinic Shane Lowry put on display on the weekend in routing Irish Open field. Excellent course management also - leaving ball where his touch and execution and putter allowed him to save pars. Sure didnt look like 21 under off tee or on approach.
Be cool if Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter" blasted across the Greenville sky when the flags are raised in Dowdy-Ficklen to start the 4th. Page & Plant on the scoreboard screen.
"Both teams want to get off to a fast start" ... we are so lucky to hear such shrewd analysis before our college football contests.
Good Good ... Sorta what Tiger's people offered the judge I guess ... Phil probably beggingfor something similar considering how things been going his way, wherever he is whatever he is doing whoever he is trying to pull into his game
In any reasonable privately held organization, every person involved with or responsible for the Bill Belichick hire at UNC would have been fired months ago.
Disgraceful level of incompetence for such a reputable university. Empowered egomaniacs made decisions they weren't qualified to make.
The Padres were the best team in baseball in Oct. 2024, had a 2-1 edge vs Dodgers in NLCS and chance to close out series at home.
Uh, turning point. Since then they traded away many top prospects, fired a manager etc. Spotted a 6-0 lead in LA and trail 10-6.
Wyndham Clark winning the US Open (again) one year after he destroyed a locker following a mental health situation seems appropriate for these times
