The Bears and NFL want the Arlington Heights stadium open in 2031, with a Super Bowl conditionally slated for 2033, per @dan_bernstein.
Crain's also reports the Bears are "close to a deal" to stay in IL, "most likely" in Arlington Heights.
The Bears already own the land: 326 acres at the former Arlington Park, bought for $197.2 million in 2023.

Today's the day @kevinwildes pays off our Bears-Pats bet as ICEMAN at 5pm ET. He's now claiming he won't wear the mask.
This is an outrage. And yes, I realize my job is dumb.

The best anecdote from the Jeffery Simmons’ deal just came from Bears OC Press Taylor. He heard cheers down the hallway. And then he received an immediate FaceTime call from his brother, Zac — the Bengals head coach. Zac was excited because the Bengals face the Titans this week.
