The reason that the DOJ will not release Brian Cole is because the stakes are too high. (In their opinion)
January 6th was an enormous federal operation and numerous different intelligence agencies helped entrap Americans.
If Brian Cole is innocent in the CIA agent Kerkoff (who very obviously is the pipe bomber) did it… that sure puts the government in an uncomfortable position.
