Bryson at #TheOpen

Beggars belief that Tuchel would go so defensive with so much time left in the game and invite on Argentina, a team known for scoring late goals in this World Cup. So many warnings, ignored.

Greatness isn’t reaching the summit. It’s returning there. McIlroy just the fourth man to win back-to-back green jackets. But boy did he ride the Rory rollercoaster during that final round #TheMasters

Another utterly joyless performance by Liverpool. One of so many this season. Totally devoid of pace, passion or any real purpose. Spurs at their lowest ebb and LFC were oh so welcoming. Believers to doubters … enough already

Switched across to @BBCRadioScot on 90 mins in the vain hope it would somehow change 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿’s fortunes, and heard 8 mins of absolute commentary gold from @Alasdair_Lamont and @BBCSportScot from Hampden - have a listen: glorious, glorious 🙌 🏆 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Reflects very poorly on the American players that they are happy to stand by and listen to their own crowd abusing their opponents (and friends) when they’re lining up shots. These scenes with Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry do the #RyderCup no favours at all

RIP Val Kilmer. You’ll forever be Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky. Love this scene in Top Gun: Maverick where he incorporated his real-life illness into the role. Movie magic

Our youngest started school a week or so ago. He had his first assembly this week - learnt his first song. Tonight I heard him belting out ‘Sing Hosanna’ from his bath. Except he wasn’t. As I got closer I realised he was actually singing ‘Sing Mo Salah’. My work here is done 🤣

RIP Sven. What an epitaph …

Congratulations to France and to Paris, not only for hosting a truly incredible #OlympicGames but for doing it in a way that combined sporting brilliance with the romance, spirit, beauty and the pure magic of Paris as a city. Magnifique!

Steph Curry. A(nother) performance for the ages #Olympics

Much will be written about Andy Murray’s legacy, rightly so - the trophies, medals, the glory - but he won so much more during a glorious career. He won hearts. I’ll remember his beautiful belligerence, his fight and his decency as a human being. Britain’s greatest sportsperson

The birth of a sporting phenomenon. Take a bow Leon Marchand. Two Olympic gold medals in the space of two hours. Most athletes would be happy with that in a career #OlympicGames #Olympics

So pleased for Trent. Showed huge courage and character. Going in at 5th in the shootout almost felt like he was being set up to fail having only been on for 6 mins but he delivered when it mattered most #ENGSUI #EURO2024

Surely time England brought Harry Kane on …….

Thinking of the 97, their families and all those affected by the Hillsborough tragedy today. You’ll Never Walk Alone #JFT97

Felt like end of a road at Anfield today. This Liverpool team looks out of steam, ideas and belief after a season of dramatic comebacks, injuries and, in truth, overachievement. Bullied by Palace 1st, LFC had loads of chances to win it 2nd half but, once again, so wasteful
