AI agents need access to data and tools to do useful work. That same access makes securing them fundamentally different from securing traditional software.
Agents operate through ambiguous inputs, generate their own plans, invoke tools, and increasingly delegate work to other agents. Google Research argues that privacy and security controls must therefore account for contextual behavioral norms, not simply whether an agent has permission to access a resource.

We believe great software comes from great teams. That's why we invest heavily in developing better craftsmen, teammates, and technical leaders.
We're hiring multiple Platform Engineers to help design and build cloud-native platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automated delivery environments that support mission-critical applications.
✅ Active TS/SCI with Poly required
✅ Opportunities across multiple experience levels
✅ Work alongside engineers who care about craftsmanship, learning, and continuous improvement

That’s a wrap on BTI360’s fall training days: three days of workshops on a variety of technical topics.
This round of sessions included:
■ Durable Data Pipelines and AI Agents with Temporal
■ Kubernetes Ops and Troubleshooting
■ Mind the Slop: How to Evaluate AI Systems
■ Using Your Second Brain to Orchestrate Multi-Agent Workflows in Java
■ Communicating the AI Value Story
Thank you to the teammates who developed and led these workshops, and to everyone who came ready to learn, experiment, and share ideas.
Engineering Rigor. Architectural Integrity. Operational Maturity.
Together, these three pillars shape how BTI360 builds and operates high-quality software.
We recently explored each pillar in a three-part blog series, from writing clean, secure, well-tested code to designing adaptable systems and operating them reliably at scale.
Read the full series to see how these practices come together in our engineering culture.

The 2026 Stack Overflow Developer Survey is out, offering an industry-wide view of the current state of AI adoption.
Engineers still overwhelmingly use AI for tightly scoped tasks like generating familiar code and debugging. Far fewer developers rely on it for deploying, operating, or troubleshooting production systems.
AI is making good engineers faster, but it hasn't replaced technical understanding and engineering judgment.

RIP Margaret Hamilton
We’ve lost a pioneer of software engineering and space exploration. Margaret Hamilton has died at age 90.
She led the teams that developed the onboard flight software for the Apollo missions, building systems reliable enough to help carry humans to the moon and bring them safely back home. Her software took humanity somewhere it had never been before.

Not all software engineering internships are created equal.
Before accepting an offer, students should ask how the program is structured, what kind of work they’ll own, how they’ll receive feedback, and where former interns have gone next.
Here are 7 questions we think every college student should ask before choosing a software engineering #internship. 🧵
A well-designed internship can significantly accelerate participants' careers.
