Franklin Square residents wanted a stop sign at Calhoun & Fayette for decades. Three weeks ago, 60 residents/allies shared why. After meetings with @MayorBMScott @BmoreCityDOT and BUILD’s action, there’s a new stop sign! Grateful for this big step forward. #MakeFreedomConcrete
Today, BUILD’s clergy caucus met to evaluate our October action and discuss next steps in the coming weeks and months. If you want to learn and evaluate with us, email info(at)buildiaf(dot)org to find out about our upcoming leadership & organizing trainings!
Over two days, Metro IAF leaders from @metroiafny & @BUILDBaltimore brought together more than 4,000 people for nonpartisan actions to celebrate results & press public officials for concrete commitments. This is democracy in action.

We were joined by @GovWesMoore @dancox4maryland @SenBillFerg @MayorBMScott @julianejonesjr who responded to our leaders’ concrete agenda & questions. Tonight’s action sets up the work ahead: turning commitments into concrete changes in our communities.
Different congregations. Different neighborhoods. Shared power.
These are some of the people behind BUILD.
Tonight, we come together to press for change—and commitments we can act on at the local and state level.

BIG DAY! Today, the Fair Chance Housing Law goes into effect, making it possible for the more than 1 million people with a record to have a fairer shot at housing by regulating landlords’ use of background checks. Thanks to partners & legislative leaders who made this possible!
Thank you to the 60 leaders — residents & allies — who walked together in Franklin Square tonight to celebrate our wins & talk about the work we still have ahead. @SWP_Baltimore @GHBC1617 FSCA Kirby Lane & more. Grateful to @bmoredhcd @BmoreCityDOT @docbullock & for future work.
