What a fantastic festival of athletics organised by Bottisham VC. The annual Jubilee Cup was a huge success once again this afternoon. Well done to all performers and sports leaders totalling over 100 students. Out of 11 schools across the district we came 7th.ETA back 17.30.

We had a lovely time with our primary schools this morning, with our sports leaders taking them through a range of activities. Thanks for joining us and making it such a special day, primary colleagues.

Mr Darling prepares his platoon of pupil leaders, as they await the start of our primary school festival. An outstanding opportunity for BVC students to demonstrate their leadership and to develop key skills: enjoy it, guys.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Harry Darling, a former BVC student, to speak to some of our current students about his path to becoming a professional football player. Thank you to Harry for coming in!

Yesterday we hosted our first Primary School Sports Festival of the year. Year 9 and 10 students demonstrated their high quality leadership skills by manging the event.

Over the Easter break, Mr Darling has been busy overseeing the final phase of getting a fleet of bikes for the college through DfE funding and other support. These will be used within lessons and extended schools. This is a really exciting programme for all our students.

It is only the first day of term, but Mr Darling and the wonderful PE department already have a trip planned for years 8 and 9. What an opportunity!

Congratulations to everyone involved in PE enrichment this week: a tremendous turnout.
