The report indicates that at approximately 05:20, Police were conducting patrols along Voortrekker Street in Carolina when they spotted a suspicious grey Volkswagen Golf TSI with tinted windows.
The members attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the driver reportedly fled towards the direction of Wonderfontein Road. Police pursued the vehicle and managed to intercept it near Belfast turn-off.
Police searched the vehicle and it was during this time when Police discovered a substantial quantity of dagga concealed inside the vehicle.

All suspects are expected to appear at the Caroline and Piet Retief Magistrate Courts respectively, in due course.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Apaphia Modise, commended the members for their vigilance and swift response, which resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of dagga before it could reach the streets.
“We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations and patrols to disrupt the illegal dagga trade. The seizure of this dagga is a clear indication of our commitment to ensuring that drugs are removed from our communities, ” said the General.

Powerful and moving conclusion, Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga tells the audience that 'unless something drastic happens, unless concrete changes come about with some urgency, unfortunately, underlying the understanding. So, I am not stating concretely in the sense that is where we are going. But I said, unless something drastic happens, and in the present trajectory, I do not see that is where we are going, but one can only hope that it will, unless something drastic happens we will hit rock bottom. And once we hit rock bottom, then we will have no option but to rise up."
