Two new Champions & Mainnet Proposals
Champions add new chains and services to Lava and are rewarded with LAVA tokens every time that service is used.
This means Lava incentivizes participants to dynamically support in-demand infrastructure and chains.

As Champions, they write and maintain the specifications, which define the set of RPC methods a Data Provider can serve over Lava.

Stargaze and Evmos Proposals live on Lava Mainnet
The specifications for Stargaze and Evmos are now open for token holder voting. Once passed, Data Providers can join Lava to serve RPC traffic for both chains. Cosmos Hub is already live on Lava Mainnet.
If you run a Validator or have staked your LAVA, you can vote now on both proposals.
Voting is live for 4 days, until roughly Tuesday 8am UTC (depending on block times).

It’s insanely ambitious, and if it works, can really reshape the fabric of society.
But seriously, a lot of unique features in Lava tokenomics that help mitigate the marketplace “cold start” problem, bootstrap network effects, improve market efficiency, lower security fees etc:
1. For example, Lava has a capped supply - inflation isn’t used to hide lack of demand. Instead, network participants are paid by blockchains who require RPC.
2. Champions is another example - Lava tokenomics has built in a mechanism to incentivize open-source contributors like @BabyScopeAI and @ImpulseExpert to expand Lava to more chains and services (eg indexing). Champions are rewarded with LAVA tokens whenever that service is used.
3. Lava tokenomics sets aside 6.6% of total supply to attract data providers to join even before there is paid demand (addressing the cold start problem a lot of marketplaces face).
