This guy openly laughing about the suggestion that trying to sell off the World Cup without consultation would be a resigning issue. Zero remorse, zero contrition, close to zero chance he doesn't get re-elected as it stands. Great stuff.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino insists he has the backing of the "vast, vast majority" of world football, as he laughed off questions about whether he had considered resigning over the World Cup sell-off debacle.

We have an access and accountability problem in English football. The manager has to answer for everything. Executives nothing. Appeal lodged. Process ongoing. But they hide. If modern managers are paid so much it is also because they shoulder the cowardice of their bosses

The ideal would have been to ask questions to a club chief but Maresca took every question about the PL verdict and there was no attempt to shut down questions - just kept repeating he trusts the club and the appeal. Analysis after the news conference

Maresca is asked if he would have taken the job had the guilty judgement came earlier this year: "100%. I know the organisation from years ago, I know how serious they are, I know they do the right things. I would like to speak about this when we are going to win the appeal."
