@stevekaliski and I challenged our Claude Code to pay for and plan my birthday party, all paid for via MPP on Stripe
And...it just worked hands-free

Demo time! 🤖💸🎉
Here's @stevekaliski, @BackseatVC, and their agent (with a wallet) throwing together an actual birthday party.
To accomplish this fun task, the agent autonomously researches, requests, and pays multiple businesses on Stripe via MPP.
Note: No hands on keyboard
The Claude Duet launch is interesting because it's branded as a "proactive agent," which theoretically is relevant to both consumers and businesses
But the skills that it has (like access to the @stripe MCP to understand your business, issue refunds) and the demo videos show specifically business use cases
With @link, we tried having Duet find and source candy from a supplier (as if we were a one person candy company), and it worked!
Curious if small business owners are going to adopt this, so they don't have to deal with the manual tasks that they don't want to do
Muse, Instinct, and Grokbot really changed agentic commerce
From what we can see on @link, total transactions increased by 38x, volume by 20x in September
What are people having their agents buy? Retail was the most popular, then travel, and then music and entertainment
More data and learnings from how agents are using @link in @alexconrad's latest:

DATA: Are AI assistants launching a new era of agentic commerce?
@danhilltech, head of consumer product at @stripe, thinks so.
I spoke to him for exclusive intel on how 70+ assistants currently use @link, including how much they spend, and on what 👀

1/ Coding agents, like Claude Code and Codex, can now build working machine payment integrations on Stripe in one shot.
With Stripe's Machine Payments SDK, developers can build APIs and services that AI agents pay for with stablecoins, one request at a time.
Curious if there are any stories of people starting a small business using agents who would've have otherwise
I would imagine tasks like these would be a no-brainer for an agent with browser use, payments with @link, email/phone
- Finding a supplier and emailing them for quotes
- Purchasing samples
- Designing packaging, marketing assets, and copy
- Replying to customer feedback and optimizing social media
Use your agent to buy an .si domain over @mpp
Point your agent with a @link wallet to atom.com/llms.txt to get started
🚀 .si is now live on Atom: the domain for superintelligence.
Register for $10.95 at launch pricing, or transfer your .si portfolio in for $0.
Need inspiration? Enter a few keywords and our AI generates available .si names in under a minute.

Many agents get stuck using the browser even when the merchant has built a programmatic way to pay
Great read from @LangChain on how they built Restock, an agent that helps run your business by getting you office supplies the quicker, programmatic way
Powered by @link's wallet for agents and @mpp
You can now build an agent that:
🔎 Finds real products
🛒 Prepares purchases
💳 Pays
…with a person approving every order 👨💻
Ask in @slackhq, review the order, approve in @Stripe's Link agent wallet.
Built on MPP + Managed Deep Agents.

All of these new personal agents give me a little computer (like a VM for browser/computer use, files/docs, other tools)
Curious if there are any where my agent can use a phone to access iOS/Android apps, etc
Excited for @stripe to be a part of the Personal Agent Protocol!
When I use these new agents, it's always surprising to me how the default path is to use the "guest experience"
With PAP, it'll be cool to see how agents can step up their auth to more easily login and interact with businesses with whichever route they prefer
Today we’re announcing Personal Agent Protocol — an open standard @Meta and @SierraPlatform are developing along with industry partners at @Genesys, @instinct, @RocketOTD, @Shopify, @stripe, and @Walmart. It will help define how personal agents interact with businesses and is open for anyone to implement. You can read more here - and if anyone is interested in joining let me know! sierra.ai/blog/introducing-p…
On the flip side, I would love to also chat with anyone using agents to help them run your business
What do you do vs your agent? What do you wish your agent could do?
For anyone building a "business agent" (in comparison to a "consumer agent"), I'd love to chat with you for 5-10 minutes to learn how @stripe can help you. I have ideas!
My hunch is there will be many industry-specific business agents, as there are many vertical SaaS companies.
Streaming payments are a super interesting business model now that agents can pay-per-call for tools
Stripe now supports streaming payments using @mpp Sessions, which allows agents to pay subcent transactions for a session, and then settle the final amount when finished.
Could be really useful for streamed compute, LLM interference, data analysis, and more.

Agents are much more likely than humans to make microtransactions which work especially well over stablecoins
Usually that means merchants selling tools to agents would have to manage crypto-specifics, like gas facilitation
Now, @stripe takes care of that for you with your @mpp integration. We deal with the crypto side and pay for gas, and payments just land in your Stripe balance

You can now give your agent a @tryramp card and let it buy from businesses on @stripe via @mpp!
In this demo, I show how a business owner could use Codex to buy wine for a few top customers:
- My agent helps me find my most engaged customers using the Stripe MCP and our CRM notes.
- It finds @MartinEstate in the Stripe Directory and recommends wine within my budget.
- I approve the purchase, and it pays with a Ramp card via MPP!
If you're a business interested in integrating @mpp, get started and one-shot your integration:

Seeing an increase in API traffic from agents, but want to understand who they are and monetize those calls?”
Now, you can collect user info and enable agents to pay-per-call to your API (using machine payments protocols like @mpp and x402 under the hood) on @stripe
Here, I grabbed two transactions from my Stripe dashboard: one where there is no information besides the payment, and another where there is rich data on the human behind the agent

What are tasks, or data to query, do you want for Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct, etc, where you’d be excited to _passively_ pay a penny, 10c, $1, for the task/data to be high quality and low latency?
For me, I’d pay to have perfect places data. I still get recommended closed places.
