Please help make your voice heard to support Luigi. Flood social media, write to your local and state reps, and educate everyone you know about the blatant hypocrisy in his legal cases. Catching BT’s shooter was about protecting power, not people. #LuigiMangione

📢 People v. Mangione (NY State) - The defense's reply to the prosecution's opposition of their Motion to Dismiss (to dismiss State level charges, thus not going to trial on double jeopardy grounds) has dropped! It's on Luigi's legal defense site, link: cdn.sanity.io/files/detu0qji…

luigi is someone who lived life in severe pain and was empathetic to the experiences of others from a broken health care system that only catered to executives. a guilty plea only amplifies the injustice that millions of people relate to. his support will only grow from here

What a metaphor... When they want to convince you that AI will solve all the world's problems, meanwhile the reality:

One of the first letters Luigi sent after being arrested
🚨 LUIGI MANGIONE’S CONFESSION IN COURT:
“After years of negotiating severe pain in my back and seeing others too I learned UnitedHealth would hold its conference”
“I researched the event online. I observed the conference of the largest health care company would be attended by executives, not doctor, nurses or patients. I traveled to Manhattan and emailed leadership posing as an investor managing $58 billion”
"I traveled to NY ... with the intent to shoot Brian Thompson. On the morning of Dec. 4, 2024, I shot Mr. Thompson in Manhattan and he died. When I did so I understood that my actions would place him in fear of death or serious bodily injury. I knew what I was doing was illegal”

Trump actually bragged:
“I don’t give a damn. I’m gonna say it. We’re making a freaking fortune.”
Now we know exactly who he means when he says America is getting rich.
He’s talking about his wealthy buddies getting rich off our backs.

THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR THE HEALTHCARE CLAIMS DEPARTMENT.
My stepdad spent 41 years working as a machinist, paying his health insurance premiums every single two weeks without missing a single deduction.
Last year, he was diagnosed with a rare stage-four tissue cancer.
His oncologist prescribed a specialized targeted therapy drug to keep him alive. The cost was $14,000 a month.
The insurance company denied the pre-authorization on day three, claiming it was "experimental and not medically necessary."
He spent the final four months of his life fighting an appeal committee of corporate desk jockeys while his out-of-pocket medical bills liquidated his entire $110,000 life savings just to pay for palliative care.
He didn't lose his life to cancer alone.
He lost it to an administrative denial algorithm designed to run out the clock until you die so they don't have to pay your claim.
You aren't buying healthcare.
You're paying a monthly protection racket that abandons you the second the bill gets too expensive to ignore.

Not to be parasocial but the day Luigi can be out of prison comfortable in his home and feel safe and secure to cry like this and feel better is genuinely why I am so vocal about my support for his freedom - his soul seems too kind for any of this

Now protesters in Bordeaux, France are smashing a piñata of Macron filled with money. Each smash returns the money to the people; a brilliant symbol of how neoliberal politicians sell out the public to big money interests.

i have been hoping against hope that i am proven wrong, that they have some trick up their sleeve & they were actually fighting for him, it doesn’t seem so and it’s not fair for luigi.

UnitedHealthcare has dropped Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from its network, leaving 20,000 cancer patients (including me) without access to our doctors and life-saving treatment starting July 1.
Cancer patients cannot simply “go elsewhere.” Finding new specialists takes time many of us don’t have. This reckless decision will overload other hospitals, delay care, and endanger lives.
What kind of company knowingly disrupts cancer treatment for thousands of people? Shame on you, @UHC.

Without hope, positive changes will never occur. And there’s nothing that Luigi does more effectively than give people hope that better things are indeed possible, and nothing/no one could ever possibly take that away from him or from us.
