🚨Gary Neville: “I've seen Michael Carrick, how much he loves this football club. I've seen that lad screaming and shouting and singing Manchester United songs in a pub constantly when we were out on nights out, starting the songs, the passion he has for this football club is unreal.”❤️🥲

"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now.
And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.

United fans in sinister form now, singing, 'Build a bonfire, put the Glazers on the top, put Ratcliffe in the middle and burn the f*****g lot' #mufc

Some thoughts on the mess at Manchester United, including the crisis of leadership throughout. The only blameless people are the fans. #MUFC

People using Carrick's spell at Middlesbrough to judge his entire managerial career is absurd. Kompany relegated Burnley, got signed to Bayern, proved himself and is currently killing it
I know what i saw with this United side last season, I'm riding with Carrick till very end!

Extraordinary and very impressive speech from Michael Carrick to start his press conference. Feels like a line in the sand moment. Get the sense the United hierarchy really want an end to the cycle of managers at Old Trafford, but if the squad don't produce a reaction to that now, then it's hard to see where else they go from here.
Hard not to be impressed by the way Carrick has gone about things off the pitch in recent weeks, however. It's clear how much this is hurting him and just how much he cares. Nobody can be in any doubt what Manchester United means to him #mufc
Gary Lowe was a well-known figure in non league football in Manchester, a hugely successful manager at both @CurzonAshton and @hydeunited, and the father of our very own @benito_lowe98.
He was taken from us far too soon, and it is perhaps fitting that the game which is closest to the anniversary of his passing will be between his son's team and one with whom he secured a historic promotion to the Conference National.
We will be joined by members of Gary's family for tomorrow's game, and will be celebrating his life with a minute's applause prior to kick off.

People saying it’s Manchester United’s worst defeat in the Champions League since the 4-0 loss at Camp Nou in 1994. I was there for that and knew something was up when I saw Peter Schmeichel having a coffee in the press room an hour before kick-off. The 4-0 was bad but there were excuses, the 3+2 rule, Schmeichel sacrificed, and the quality of Barcelona – Romario, Stoichkov, Koeman, Guardiola.
United's 4-1 loss to Como is worse. No excuses. No energy. Just a terrible performance, bordering on the spineless, summing up all the lack of leadership and responsibility-taking at the club. So much wrong about the club, from the Glazers with their debt, to the board and naïve recruitment. The team crying out for full-backs and a back-up striker and splurging money on midfielders, including a reserve from Chelsea and a player in Tielemans whose best years are behind him, who needs legs around him and whose main attraction was arguably his release clause.
The dysfunctional, divided nature of the United family absolutely summed up by Bruno Fernandes during and after the game. A captain who failed to raise his own game or rally his players. A supposed leader who has now questioned his manager’s tactics.
Michael Carrick's tactics and changes can certainly be questioned. He may eventually pay the price for the shambles in Como. It's cheaper than shipping out the under-performing players. But Carrick is not the real problem. He doubtless sees players who lack his passion for the shirt. He could be forgiven for looking at Wilcox and Berrada and thinking how badly he was let down in the summer transfer window.
And he's on the brink. Manchester United may be ousting the one individual who cares most about the team and the club. Which sums up the total mess they are in. #MUFC
