To every young lawyer and law student whose expectations weren't met in October: Don't give up now. May November bring opportunities so beautiful that you'll understand why October didn't work out. Better days are ahead. Keep pushing!
Lawyers may have 1,001 cases pending, but it's Friday! Even the law must respect the weekend. We have earned our enjoyment.
Young lawyers and law students, the briefs can wait. The deadlines can threaten. The seniors can call. BUT IT'S FRIDAY! We must enjoy this life.
Young lawyers are under pressure to own cars, dress expensively and look rich. Meanwhile, some of us are still negotiating with our MoMo balance before boarding a trotro. 😂🇬🇭
The hardest part of being a young lawyer in Ghana is not learning the law. It’s convincing society you’re rich when your salary is still learning to walk. 😭
Dear newly called lawyers, when your first courtroom moment comes, may your courage be louder than your fear. Go and own that courtroom!
To every young Lawyer appearing before a judge today or in the days ahead: may your nerves settle, your words flow, and your advocacy speak louder than your fear.
POV: You finally close from pupillage, get home, take off your suit and wig, lie down to rest… then remember the research, drafting and authorities you still have to work on. 😭😭
Counsel, we shall survive this profession!
Law students, pupils and young lawyers don’t actually close from work. We just change locations. 😭😂 From the office/Class to the house, the briefs/Cases follow us everywhere.
But this legal path will NOT finish us!
To every first-gen lawyer, pupil, and law student fighting silent battles: you’re not just building a career; you’re changing your family’s history. Don’t give up.
First-generation lawyers, never dim your shine. You fought battles nobody saw to get here. You belong in every room you worked hard to enter. Keep going!
