As lakes and ponds face growing pressure from invasive species, nutrient runoff, and rising temperatures, freshwater ecosystems are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. Our investment in @SolitudeLake reflects our belief in a business with the scientific expertise and nationwide scale to face these issues.
Combining strong technical capabilities with a national field organization, SOLitude helps municipalities, communities, and property owners protect and manage freshwater ecosystems using science-led lake and pond management.
We look forward to working alongside the SOLitude team as an independent company and supporting further investment in its people, technology and geographic reach as it expands its impact across the country.

In the current market, returns can’t depend on favorable financing conditions or automatic multiple expansion. Operating performance has to do the work—and a successful exit needs to be built well before the process gets underway.
Maurizio Mussi recently joined @PEI_news’s Disruption Matters podcast to discuss what that means for the exit playbook. His view: exit isn’t simply an event at the end of the ownership period. It’s the final five meters of a plan that begins on day one.
The discussion also explored AI as a component of asset quality. Buyers won’t pay a premium for ambition alone—they’ll look for redesigned workflows and demonstrated P&L impact.
The conversation spans three episodes, released weekly.

At our annual CFO Community Conference, 20 CFOs came together to discuss some shared challenges: maintaining cash discipline, navigating a fast-changing macro environment, keeping pace with developments in AI, and determining where these tools can have the greatest impact in finance processes.
At a panel, portfolio company CFOs shared their own examples to illustrate a key idea that staying agile on the path to an exit can mean taking a route that veers away from the original investment thesis. One CFO offered a look at how their finance function is already putting AI tools to work.
Filling a room with more than 600 years of combined finance and leadership experience enabled CFOs to gain more valuable insights comparing notes with one another than they would discussing with us.
Specialist expertise is playing an increasingly important role in private equity as capital markets become more complex.

The technology companies that define the next generation will be created for a world very different from today’s. That belief underpins @BainCapVC’s new $1.6 billion Fund XI and the team’s drive to support founders building for a post-AGI future.
Congratulations to our Ventures colleagues on this milestone and the clarity they provide in working with founders shaping what comes next. We’re fortunate to have their expertise across our broader platform, bringing deep technology insight to the resources and perspective of a global investment firm.
More than four decades after the founding of Bain Capital, “Make Money. Have Fun. Live with Integrity.” continues to resonate.
Bloomberg recently spoke with the team about Fund XI and where they see opportunities emerging within the technology landscape.

Enterprise IT is moving fast. AI adoption, governance, data architecture and cyber resilience are no longer separate workstreams—they’re the work.
We recently brought together 14 CIOs from our portfolio companies in Japan to share challenges, initiatives and practical lessons, including insights from Mr. Isomura, CIO of York Holdings.
The conversation reinforced a consistent theme: the companies leading in this area treat it as business transformation, not a technology problem.
The companies that move fastest will set the pace for their sectors.
We recently welcomed 111 new investment professionals from across Bain Capital to Boston for our Global Investment Professional Orientation.
Reflecting our apprenticeship culture, the program brings together new colleagues and experienced leaders to explore our history, values and investment philosophy—and build relationships that will shape their careers for years to come.
Service has been core to our firm since its founding more than 40 years ago. As part of the orientation, the group assembled children’s bicycles for CambridgeBikeGiveBack, a local nonprofit supporting families in need.
We’re grateful for the time with this group as they begin their Bain Capital journey and look forward to seeing these relationships and experiences grow across the firm.

Fund XI. $1.6B total capital for those who know that it will.
For nearly 40 years, we’ve partnered with founders and management teams around the world to build category-leading companies.
The strongest partnerships are grounded in a shared vision—and a willingness to roll up our sleeves together, bringing strategic and operational depth to every stage of the journey.
In today’s environment, creating lasting value requires a deliberate approach to building, transforming, and ultimately exiting great businesses.
We believe that approach shows up in results. We recently closed our 14th flagship fund and latest Asia Private Equity fund, while the past three years have delivered three of our strongest distribution years on record.
We’re proud to be a trusted partner to growing businesses worldwide—and honored to be recognized again by GrowthCap as a Top Private Equity Firm.
Europe’s infrastructure buildout is creating opportunities beyond the assets themselves — across the companies that build, upgrade, and maintain them.
Our Europe industrials strategy focuses on the operators and service providers behind the trend: grid investment, data center construction, transport upgrades, and higher European defense spending.
Halvor Meyer Horten spoke with With Intelligence about how this plays out, from Nordic grid investment to NATO-linked infrastructure spending.
Eleda is one example — working across power infrastructure, roads, railways, and data center groundworks.

Private credit continues to play an important role in helping middle-market companies pursue growth, acquisitions, and refinancing opportunities.
In the first half of 2026, our Private Credit Group invested approximately $6 billion across 58 financings, supporting new and existing portfolio companies.
As the market evolves, our approach remains grounded in deep fundamental underwriting, disciplined selectivity, and flexible capital solutions tailored to our partners’ needs.
We’re grateful to our investors, management teams, and sponsors for their continued partnership — and look forward to building on this momentum.
Recently, more than thirty-five Bain Capital colleagues, along with family and friends, joined thousands of cyclists from across the Commonwealth for the annual @PanMass Challenge (PMC) in support of @DanaFarber Cancer Institute.
Team Bain Capital has raised more than $2.4 million so far this year, bringing our total contribution to the PMC to more than $42 million since 1999. 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber.
Congratulations to all of this year's riders, and thank you for your unending support of cancer research and patient care.

Recently, David Gross spoke with Sarah Kessler for @nytimes DealBook’s “Talking A.I.” series about what it takes for companies to move from AI experimentation to meaningful integration.
One of the central challenges for businesses today? How to turn powerful technology into operating change. AI’s opportunity is not limited to making existing work more efficient. It can also help companies redesign workflows, expand what is economically possible, and rethink how the enterprise operates at scale.
Through our founding partnership with the @OpenAI Deployment Company, we are seeing this work firsthand. Translating AI into meaningful business outcomes requires focus, experimentation, and deep engagement with how work actually gets done.

50 of our colleagues recently joined hundreds of corporate volunteers for @c2cboston’s signature Backpack-A-Thon. Volunteers filled 50,000 backpacks with essential school supplies for children experiencing homelessness or financial hardship across Massachusetts.
The Backpack-A-Thon helps ensure that children have the essentials they need to begin the school year feeling prepared and confident. It is always a highlight of our year and an opportunity to see Boston’s corporate community come together for meaningful, hands-on impact. Since its founding in 2002, @c2cboston has worked to provide children with the essential items they need to thrive at home, at school, and at play.
Bain Capital is proud to support that mission through an annual Bain Capital Children’s Charity grant, volunteerism, and board service at the national, local, and young professional levels.
Spain's flex living sector continues outrunning its supply. Structural undersupply, urbanization and evolving housing preferences drive demand for professionally managed, flexible accommodation in the country's gateway cities.
We've exited a 977-unit purpose-built flex living asset in Carabanchel, Madrid, developed in joint venture with Momentum REIM and Episode. The property, opened in 2025, holds BREEAM Outstanding certification and recently won the ASPRIMA-SIMA Award for Best Flex Living Initiative. Episode will continue to manage the asset going forward.
The exit follows the completion of the joint venture's first portfolio, roughly 2,800 units, with a second portfolio of more than 2,300 units already underway.
It's a platform built to be repeated, not a one-off transaction.
We continue to build our Living strategy across Europe's gateway cities, where the fundamentals remain some of the strongest in real estate.

Companies regularly face capital decisions that do not fit cleanly into a single category. A founder may need growth capital without selling control. A company may need a tailored solution for a carve-out, acquisition, or strategic transition. A hard asset platform may need financing designed around durable cash flows found in esoteric collateral or capex-heavy sectors.
Hybrid capital is designed for these situations. We believe it can provide companies, owners, corporates, and asset holders with capital that draws on the strengths of both debt and equity while offering additional flexibility.
We believe the need for this approach persists across cycles. Executing it well requires more than capital. It depends on structuring discipline, operating partnership, sector knowledge, and a broad platform that can identify opportunities across corporate and asset-backed situations while remaining selective.
Recently, our Special Situations team published a guide to hybrid capital that covers what this capital is, why the need persists, and what it takes to execute well.

Colleagues from our Credit and Special Situations teams recently joined @CityYearBoston at the Mary Lyon School in Brighton for our annual day of service. More than 200 volunteers contributed over 600 hours preparing the campus for the new school year.
They painted murals and schoolyard graphics, built outdoor benches and a mud kitchen, refreshed the cafeteria, and assembled supply kits for teachers and students.
Bain Capital’s partnership with @CityYear spans nearly four decades.
We and our colleagues have contributed more than $120 million, thousands of volunteer hours, and ongoing support as advisors and board members to help advance the organization’s mission and expand its impact.
We are grateful for the opportunity to continue that partnership and to support the community here in Boston.
