Fourth Edition Down!
I love the idea of the domino effect - the fact that our actions, however small, can have a lifelong impact on others' lives. This is exactly what the #AbsaKH37HillsRun is all about: helping more girls stay in school and embark on a path to knowledge, exposure, and brighter futures.
Last Sunday, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the over 8,000 runners, families, corporates, and fitness enthusiasts who showed up for the 2026 edition, which was our largest edition yet - for participants, sponsors, and partners alike.
Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who showed up, ran, walked, and simply had fun.
We upped the ante this year by ensuring our top two male and top two female finishers get to participate in the Absa Black Star Marathon in Accra, Ghana, this July. Additionally, the overall winner of the 25km challenge earned a UGX 10 million cash prize, while the top male and female finishers each walked away with land titles courtesy of @BakaimaGroup - making this year’s edition our most rewarding yet.
Congratulations to the entire Absa Uganda Marketing and Customer Experience team for delivering an exceptional experience, and a massive thank you to all our partners for being a part of it.

What if one decision, to run, sponsor, or simply show up could keep a girl in school? That’s the power of the Absa KH3 – 7 Hills Run!
Since 2023, together we have raised over UGX 900 million, helping more than 21,000 girls stay in school and continue shaping their futures.
And we’re not stopping there. This year, on 26 April 2026 at Lugogo Cricket Oval, we’re aiming higher, with over 8,000 runners, deeper partnerships, and even more girls supported across Uganda.
Our Managing Director, @DavidAWandera, together with Alice Gita Okecho, Hash Master of the Kampala Hash House Harriers @KampalaHash, and @HNangonzi, Director Marketing and Customer Experience, officially launched the 2026 edition at our Head Office.
