I'm a varsity head coach. I still coach. And I got tired of my best plays dying on napkins, whiteboards and my camera roll. So I built the thing I wanted on my own bench. Here's what it does.
Where does your next opponent actually shoot?
Every shot you've tracked against them, mapped. Rim 7 of 7. Paint 19 of 28. Now you know where the wall goes.
Stonebridge is a demo team. The software is real.
Clocks fell back overnight, so now the gym is pitch dark when you walk out to the car.
First real week of practice too. You will not see the sun on a weekday again until this thing is over in March.
Empty parking lot, 7 pm that feels like 10, and you would not trade a second of it.
Coaches, was it dark when you got to the gym today, or dark when you left?

Game night used to mean a clipboard, a play binder, a scorebook, and a rotation sheet folded in my pocket.
Now it's one iPad.
Demo team, real software.
Second half timeout. Everybody in the gym wants you to get loud about something.
The number that actually matters is quieter. They are one team foul from the bonus, and your guards have settled for jumpers all quarter.
So the message is simple. Stop settling, drive it, get them in the penalty and get to the line.

Court. Make. Shooter. Assist.
That's a bucket logged. Four taps from the bench, and the box score builds itself.
Demo team, real software.
Baseline out of bounds against man. Three looks off one set.
1. 1 back screens for 4, who cuts to the weakside block.
2. 1 comes off the double from 5 and 3 for the wing jumper.
3. 5 screens for 3, who slips to the rim. 5 releases deep.
Most teams guard the first look. Fewer guard the third.
What's your go-to BLOB against man?

Found us from Hoop Heads? Start here.
Drew a set on a scrap of paper. Took one photo.
Ball Coach read the title, both frames, the screens, and the dribble, and dropped it in the playbook.
It reads the play. You tune it.
Dead ball, four seconds on the arrow, and you need your best baseline out of bounds call right this second.
Thumbing through a binder on the sideline is how you burn a timeout you did not want to spend.
Keep your plays organized by situation and the call is two taps away. Your BLOB, your SLOB, your late-clock stuff, all where you can find it when the gym is loud.

Hot take: most teams do not have a shooting problem. They have a shot-selection problem.
Your 32 percent guard pulling an 18 footer early in the clock is not in a slump. That is a diet.
Fix the shots they take before you blame the shots they miss.
What is the worst shot you have quietly let a kid keep taking?

Install week. By the end of practice the board is covered in everything you taught today.
Then the lights go off, somebody wipes it clean, and tomorrow morning you are redrawing all of it from memory.
Snap the board before you leave. One photo per set. It reads the play, you tune it, and your whole staff can teach from it first thing.
What you install tonight should not die on a whiteboard overnight.

Free throws at the end of practice, when they are gassed and it actually looks like the fourth quarter?
Or at the start, legs fresh, so they groove the right stroke first?
I have gone back and forth on this for years. Tired reps feel like the game. Fresh reps build the shot you want to keep.
How do you run your free throws?

From the Playbook: UConn Double Staggered. From horns, 2 goes across the floor while 3 cuts to the rim, then 3 comes back out through the stagger for a catch. Hunt the layup first and the clean perimeter catch second.

The stretch right before your first official practice is its own kind of holiday.
You have rewritten the practice plan three times. You already know the first drill, the first thing you will say, the tone you want to set before they lace up.
You will not sleep much the night before. You have been waiting on this since March.
Coaches, what are you setting the tone with on day one?

From the Playbook: Box Zipper Flare. From a box, 3 zippers up the lane and uses 5's flare screen for the first three-point look. If it is covered, 2 pops to the corner off 4's screen. Last read: a 5-3 ball screen to attack the lane.

Your opener is a few weeks out. Here is the moment this is built for.
The other team rips off an 8 to 0 run and the gym flips. You call time. Everybody wants you to say something loud.
The numbers are already in front of you. Who went cold, who is turning it over, what they just started doing to you.
You fix the actual problem instead of the loudest one. Counted, not guessed.

From the Playbook: Baseline Flash and Pop, vs a 2-3 zone. 4 inbounds to 5, who reverses to 1 as 2 screens the middle defender for 4 to flash. If the flash is covered, 5 screens the outside defender and 2 pops to the corner.

Game night, you track it live from your phone.
At the timeout the numbers are already up: team fouls, who's in foul trouble, who's got it going.
Counted, not guessed. You walk into the huddle with the read instead of clipboard math.
