Yesterday morning, my mother, my anchor, and my best friend went to be with her Maker and her best friend, Jesus Christ. Through her life, and even now in her death, I have seen the faithfulness of God.
Her life motto was: “Seek Him first, and you will have nothing else to fear. Make His service your delight, and all your wants shall be His care!”
Thank You, God, for fulfilling this promise throughout her 85 years of life and for taking her home peacefully in her sleep.
Thank you, beloved people of God, our friends and relatives, for standing with us during this difficult time. I am humbled and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love you have shown our family since yesterday morning.
May God bless you all beyond human imagination, and may Mum’s soul rest in eternal peace!

Losing a mother leaves a pain words cannot express and a void no one can fill. Her love, sacrifices and memories will forever remain engraved in our hearts.
Though she is gone, her legacy will live on.

Today, I welcomed H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. We discussed matters concerning our two countries, especially the security situation in Somalia.

Maj. Gen Keith Katungi was commissioned in 1999 as part of the UPDF intake. He has served on multiple tours and missions including contingent commander AMISOM and played a role in securing Mogadishu in 2010-2011. He also led the United Nations Guard Unit in 2016-2017.
He was honored by the federal government of Somalia for enabling a smooth election period in 2022 when somalia was voting its president.
He is credited for having restored a good relationship between the army and the wanainchi in Somalia. He also served as the commander military police 2020-2021.
He is currently 5th Division commander based in Pader district which oversees Lango province, Northern Karamoja areas up to the South Sudan border.

Fighting a man like Gen keith who has achieved alot militarily is rather a myopic idea. But how do you even say he is starving people when he doesn’t procure food? As long as I know, food is purchased by MODVA and dispatched directly to the divisions and barracks and received by the stores person. So at what point is food diverted? From the serving point?
2. The allegations are self defeating and myopic. Soldiers salaries are processed at the ministry level not in the field. Soldiers eat their food at battalion level and below. So daily feeding is not a general's direct work. The soldiers and wanainchi under Gen. Katungi are the most happy and praise him.
