Sam Darnold is not helping this team win, but the Seahawks have a bigger offense problem. Predictable play calls and flat play design set the players up to fail even if they execute. Sam has shown he can win when the system is working--this system is failing and so is he.

The lockout is not and has never been about competitiveness. The owners have a number in mind for annual spend and growth rate. The players union also has a number in mind. As each side takes a step off their number, a "competitive balance" rule will be put in place

The lockout will be tough but seeing as how four of five remaining playoff teams are ranked 19th, 24th, 28th, and 30th (last) in payroll it’s obvious why it’s necessary. We need to fix the competitive balance issue plaguing the sport.

Grant Taylor is on pace to fall short of his innings goal (100) by over 20 innings. Hasn’t pitched since Sunday and doesn’t even get multiple (or any) innings in a bullpen game. At this point I’m convinced they’ve just given up on the idea of him in the 2027 starting rotation
