The best 12u player I've ever seen didn't play a day of college baseball and was average as grits as a HS player. As a 12u he hit 28 homers in a 16-game season and was unhittable on the mound. He threw GAS at 12. Why didn't he get better? He and his parents thought he was a superstar and thought they invented baseball. They let 12u success absolutely destroy his career. Players/Parents...don't take the bait.

The 2023 All-Stars and Home Run Hitters have been selected! Congrats to all of these young men for their outstanding seasons so far and best of luck this weekend! 🏆
Home Run Derby at 4:00 and All-Star Game at 7:00 this Saturday at Big League Camp in Marion, NC. Who's taking it?
Congrats my dude!
Humbled and thrilled at this opportunity! Worked hard for this moment of life. What matters most is I get to keep coaching our @SewaneeBaseball athletes. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! #YSR

If I’m coaching there are only 3 reasons why your child isn’t playing. So you never have to ask, “Why is my child not playing? “
1. There is a problem in the classroom - in that case the teacher should tell you.
2. There is a problem at my practice - in that case I’ll tell you.
3. I as the head coach feel the other player who’s playing in front of your child gives our team a better chance to win.
So, don’t ask, why is my child not playing, you all ready know!
What you can ask is, “Coach, what does my child need to do to get better?” That’s a conversation I love having!

Since being retired I see so much over complication of hitting on twitter. I can promise this, I’ve been around some of the greatest hitters in the game and almost all of them use simple terminology to accomplish Elite tasks.
