The system is NOT broken. It was built this way. It's exploitative, not equitable, it's exclusive, not inclusive. #WeOweUS a fight for the 21st Century. – at Manhattan, NY

The Freedom Dividend as proposed by @AndrewYang is equivalent to a $6/hr raise for those working 40 hrs and a $12/hr raise for those working 20 hrs. Think about that and how unlike a $15/hr wage, it gives a raise to everyone already earning $15/hr or more, and all unpaid workers.
A new study suggests that raising the minimum wage may lower the suicide rate — and that doing so might have saved tens of thousands of people from dying by suicide in the last quarter century.

@BasicIncomeNYC @basicincomeamerica friends, take a few.minutes today to sign our @income_movement petition to @TheDemocrats #DNC
The #DNC has ignored @AndrewYang and @CoryBooker. Will they ignore the people?
Sign the petition to demand the DNC reform the debate qualifying criteria. Who has a voice and is given a microphone matters.

@AndrewYang has reached the level where he's forcing the leading candidates to react to him & influencing positions of people throughout the party. I think he's doing so well because more than anyone else, he's running on well thought-out policies. @scottsantens

NPR says: "[Andrew] Yang has gained surprising momentum in the crowded field, edging out senators, governors and members of Congress for a coveted spot in next month's debate" and his doing it by making Basic Income the centerpiece of his campaign. @scottsantens @AndrewYang

Last night, I was able to share my message about the #FreedomDividend with folks in Detroit and millions of people watching from home. I think it landed. This is an exciting time for the #YangGang.

NEWS: It looks like the state of Sikkim, India may just be the first place to implement a fully universal basic income that reaches every individual in every household. The plan is to implement UBI there by 2022. It has a population equivalent to Alaska.

BP claims coastal towns in Australia would benefit from an oil spill because the clean up would boost their economies... This logic is the end result of blindly worshiping at the altar of jobs and GDP. Just because a job can exist, doesn't mean it should.

Just so you know, one of the effects of the #BasicIncome experiment in Namibia was a 95% reduction in poaching. This kind of crime is not done for the fun of it. It's done out of the belief there's really no other choice in order to survive.
Nearly 90 dead elephants have been found in Botswana, known as the elephant sanctuary - the largest number of kills by poachers ever seen in Africa.
I see humans but no humanity. RIP gentle giants. 🐘
