Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman says fears that AI will drive software companies into bankruptcy within two years are “absolutely absurd,” arguing the market has overreacted Schwarzman says a report from a small hedge fund sparked panic by predicting widespread software industry failures as AI advances. However, he reveals that the head of a major AI company disagreed, explaining that AI tools and tokens are helping software businesses improve rather than making the entire industry obsolete. Schwarzman acknowledges that some companies will struggle if they fail to adapt, but believes it could take another year or two for investors to realize how exaggerated the selloff has become.

Chamath Palihapitiya calls the rioters in Paris “criminals and terrorists,” accusing the French government of using empathy to excuse urban chaos and demanding a tougher response Chamath condemns the violence and looting in Paris, arguing that authorities have allowed conditions to deteriorate by failing to confront the problem directly. He criticizes President Emmanuel Macron for emphasizing the suffering of those involved, insisting that the destruction and attacks on businesses and public order require a firm response. Chamath also questions the deployment of police to protect luxury stores, arguing that France needs both stronger action against the violence and a broader solution to the issues fueling the unrest.

Marshawn Lynch reveals why he never bought into celebrity culture, saying he would rather compete with regular people for the bartender’s attention than spend thousands showing off Lynch says fame never changed how he moved in public. Even when going out, he was not interested in dropping thousands on expensive bottles and making a scene. Instead, he would stand at the bar like everyone else, competing to get the bartender’s attention, while joking that if the bartender finally came over, he would order three Hennessys.

Sylvester Stallone reveals his father once destroyed his chair with an axe during an argument over his repeated school expulsions, describing the incident as “business as usual” Stallone recalls struggling in school because of ADHD, which made it difficult for him to focus and often left him looking out the window instead of paying attention. After being thrown out of school again, an argument with his father escalated when Stallone told him to stop yelling. His father returned with an axe and chopped the chair he was sitting on into splinters, warning him to get out of it. Stallone’s chilling conclusion was that such incidents were simply part of growing up in his household.

Peter Thiel says Steve Jobs and Elon Musk have done more for society than Tim Cook, calling Apple under Cook a well run value stock that focused on scaling rather than innovation Thiel argues that Apple introduced its biggest breakthrough under Jobs, while Cook’s leadership focused on expanding the iPhone’s reach through branding, efficiency and scale. He points to Apple’s relatively low R&D spending and massive share buybacks as evidence that the company prioritized shareholder returns over major new inventions. Thiel acknowledges that Cook’s approach can be good for investors, but believes founders like Jobs and Musk have a greater impact on society by creating transformative technologies.

Giving an AI agent your credentials might make it more useful, but it also raises a bigger question: what can it do with that access? Prompts and app settings aren’t enough if an agent can ignore instructions or someone can change the rules. The better approach is to enforce limits outside the agent itself, with spending caps, approved addresses, and restricted permissions. Give AI agents only the authority they need, not unlimited access and a hope that they behave. This is where privacy and secure infrastructure from @OasisProtocol can play an important role in building safer AI agents.

4/5 Transparency you can verify. More than 12,000 entries and 20,000+ tickets went into the draw. Ten winners were selected. The result was recorded on-chain, allowing anyone to independently check the outcome. This is an important principle: you shouldn’t have to blindly trust an application when technology can help you verify its results. Check the draw here: raffle.cycling.oasis.net/

5/5 What’s next for Oasis? The cycling challenge is over, but the building continues. @PrivanaFinance , Oasis’s privacy-first DeFi platform, is now in internal testing. It’s designed to support private swaps and earning strategies across multiple chains. From verifiable raffles to private DeFi, Oasis continues exploring practical uses for privacy technology. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.
