Astro Malaysia Holdings plans to sell its broadband business to Maxis for up to RM83 million in cash, as it refocuses on its core content, entertainment and advertising businesses.
The disposal is expected to yield a net gain of RM31.4 million and be completed by Q2 2027.

Astro Malaysia’s net profit plunged 88% to RM1.6 million in 1QFY2027 from a year earlier, with the company remaining in the black only due to a RM4.5 million tax credit after recording a loss before tax during the quarter.
Revenue fell 6.2% year-on-year to RM659.62 million, mainly due to weaker subscription income.
No dividend was declared for the quarter.

I can't keep connecting and disconnecting my EV charger prototype to a real car just for testing.

Pope Leo XIV celebrated Mass at noon on Friday in the room set up on the 10th floor of Gemelli Hospital, according to the Holy See Press Office.
