Max Eberl on speculation that U23 coach Dante could join the first-team coaching staff: "Vinnie [Kompany] has been at Bayern for two and a half years now and we know exactly what role everyone has and how we want to play. Giving the team exactly this framework, this structure for a Bundesliga game against SC Freiburg - perfectly prepared. I'm very, very grateful that we have such great people around who are now stepping into the breach. Dante has his job with the U23" [@SkySportDE]

Aaron Danks on Jonas Urbig's performance: "Jonas is somebody that we really believe in. We see his work every day in training, how committed he is, how hard he works. We knew there would be a spell in this game where we would suffer, where we're playing against a really good opponent in good form, and when the crowd get excited and get on top and the momentum builds, we needed Jonas in that moment. He did make some really good saves, and I thought the whole team showed a bit of character and a bit of resilience to get through that spell because it was a difficult moment"

Aaron Danks on Manuel Neuer's injury: "In terms of Manu [Neuer], I'm not too sure on the length of time. He's just got a small aggravation in his foot and it depends how long that takes to settle. It can be a little bit uncomfortable for him at the moment. But I don't think it'll be too long. I don't think it's too serious."

Aaron Danks on whether he was in touch with Vincent Kompany today: "At the moment I think he's listening, so I kept my promise and I had no contact with him before the game. We've just left him to rest and recover. I came back into the dressing room and I had a message from him just saying well done and congratulations to all the team and players, so I replied saying brilliant and that now he needs to rest again. That's been literally the minimal conversation we've had. We've kept our promise and we're letting him rest"

Konrad Laimer on the win against Freiburg: "Freiburg are a good team, we can make it 3-0, we had the chances but don't play it out so well. Then they come back, and then comes the stadium, the team, we get through this phase and make it 3-1. I think also very deserved. And in this special week, very important for me, it makes me very proud of the team. Of course it was a very, very intense week with everything that happened. You're naturally also thinking of all the people affected. We stand together as FC Bayern. The coaching team and the staff did a superb job, and on behalf of the team I want to say a big thank you to everyone. We stand together and just continue on our way"

Aaron Danks on the win: "It was a great performance in a difficult place. We knew from the start that it would be very hard here. They are a top team and in really good form right now. Even in the last ten minutes, when they had the momentum on their side, the fans got loud and they desperately wanted to equalise, it was a good test for us. We had to show resilience and character. I think we defended those phases well. Overall, I'm really very happy with the day"

Eberl on pressure in pro football: "Pro football is extreme, but I'm not complaining. It's what we chose. It was our life, starting on the local pitch, wanting to become a pro one day. Then we were allowed to make it. The pressure is there. Every 3 days, you have to deliver. The coach setting up the team again and again, you as the person responsible for everything around it, the whole club. That's immense pressure, but we chose it to a degree, so I'm not here to complain. We just have to look after each other. That's the crucial thing and that's the crux. And looking after each other means it's difficult to tell the coach, looking him in the eye, 'well, skip the game'. You can't do that either, because the coach has his own motivation. As grown men, we have to deal with each other, talk to each other and try to recognise things, to be that protection" [@DAZN_DE]

Eberl on how hard it is to go weeks without a head coach: "I don't think many clubs have had to deal with this, and we have a few challenges this season that aren't typical football, but health issues. Vini has worked incredibly hard here for two and a half years. He has his coaching staff, he has the staff we formed together, and they know exactly how he thinks, how he ticks, how he wants things. And Danks said it perfectly at the press conference: we have our processes, we have our structure. Sticking to them, staying true to them, for the lads, who are also human beings and feel all of this, who have emotions. But having this unity now, saying: okay, a big figure for our sporting success is out of action right now, so we pull together. Everyone has to give these 3, 4, 5 percent, it's a trite, blunt phrase, but we link arms. And the team did that today, together with the coaching staff, Aaron Danks, René Maric, Dan Fradley, Flori N'Galula and everyone around them. A really great job in the short time with the news we received" [@DAZN_DE]

Eberl on Kompany's timeline: "He gets all the time, really. There are discussions around us, but we're in our little cocoon, in our fortress, and Vini gets all the time to really get healthy. And when he's healthy, he'll probably get another week on top. I hope he accepts it, so that he's really fully healthy" [@DAZN_DE]

Eberl on Vincent Kompany's condition: "He's stable, he has no headaches anymore, he's being examined thoroughly now. That works. None of us has spoken to him on the phone. Whether someone writes, I don't know, but we're simply leaving him in peace. He should wait for this diagnosis as relaxed as possible, 'relaxed' in quotation marks, and then we'll know what to do. There is no final diagnosis yet. And if there is one, I won't communicate it here. But honestly, these games and these wins are the best medicine for him" [@DAZN_DE]

Eberl on playing with a depleted squad: "Of course we have problems at the moment, but we didn't complain. We said, okay, this is the squad and we're extremely happy with it. Young players like Lennart Karl came in last year through exactly such moments. And I think the team played an almost perfect away game for 80 minutes. Almost, because we didn't score our chances to make it 3-0, and that's why you get into trouble again. But how we defended the last 9 minutes, with them desperate to get to 2-1, and then deservedly made it 3-1. The game has many stories. It's a big, really big win" [@DAZN_DE]

Max Eberl on his team's reaction to the win: "I think we don't even know yet what we really achieved today. After the week we've had, with all the hurdles we had to overcome, then the story of Jo, the injury of Lucho, Vini on Friday, this news that hit all of us extremely hard. That's why what the team achieved today, what we achieved as a group, the coaching staff around them, who suddenly lost their figurehead too, is really extraordinary. The win today is 3 points, but it's a much bigger win than just 3 points" [@DAZN_DE]

Gnabry on the win without Vincent Kompany: "This win today was for everyone that's been out. Obviously Josh, Vini, then last night we had a player in Bara who had to drop out. For everyone that's at home, it's a win for them. We wish everyone a speedy recovery so they can be back with us soon, but most important for them is to get healthy. As a team, that's what we have everyone for. We need to come together and we showed that today" Gnabry on Saturday's top game against Dortmund: "A lot. Top 2 teams against each other. It's a very big game, also a very, very important one if you look at the table. For sure we want to win, make another statement and continue to be on top"

Gnabry on whether the team is watching Harry Kane at the Ballon d'Or election in London: "Probably. It's a shame he didn't invite us to go with him [laugh], but for sure we'll be watching, we'll be supporting, and at the end we wish him that he will get the Ballon d'Or"

Serge Gnabry on scoring his 100th Bundesliga goal in his 267th match: "It feels great. It feels even more special today to help the team because it was a tough game, a very important one that we needed to win. I'm happy about the 100th goal for sure"

Kane on Dortmund next week: "Joint on points at the moment. Both teams have started the season well. It's always a big game, especially at the Allianz. We want to put the result in our favor. But we have an important game on Wednesday as well. From my point of view, you have to lean on the recovery and all the stuff in between. It's a busy week, but we're professionals and you have to make sure you get the best out of all your recovery"

• When do you travel to London for the Ballon d'Or election? Kane: "We go tomorrow. I'm back to Munich tonight and then we head off in the morning" • The election takes place in your hometown for the first time. What do you expect? Kane: "I'm looking forward to it. It's an occasion to try and enjoy. I have a lot of friends and family in London still. It's a unique situation, different to playing a football match, so I was more worried about making sure we got the win today. Now I can go there tomorrow and enjoy it"
