tokenization ในไทย ผมว่ามาแน่ ช้าสุดก็ปีหน้า
แบ่ง 3 lane ความเป็นไปได้ที่คิดไว้
1) tokenized asset จากฝั่งหลักทรัพย์ (หุ้น กองทุน etc) ให้ settle ได้เร็วขึ้น คล่องตัวกว่าเดิม หรืออย่างแย่ อาจจะนำไปแลกเป็น DA ได้
2) บนเลเวล blockchain ต่อยอด CCIP 2.0 tokenized asset ไทย อยู่บน public chain ชั้นนำของโลก ต่างชาติเข้ามาลงทุนได้ง่าย แต่ยัง limit usage
3) ทุกอย่างที่ถูก tokenize เอามาใช้งานต่อได้ swap ไปมา ทำจ่ายปันผล การค้ำประกัน เพื่อกู้ ทุกอย่างรันได้โดย Smart Contract ไม่ต้องรอ
เพราะ tokenization ทำให้หน่วยลงทุน หรือแม้แต่เงินฝากธนาคาร มาอยู่ในรูปแบบโทเคน อะไรที่คิดว่าดี มี revenue จริง คนใช้งานเยอะ ก็อาจจะถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพิ่ม พร้อมการกำกับที่ชัดเจน
ผ่านมาเกือบเดือน เพิ่งเห็น Token X (บริษัทลูก SCBX) เป็นหนึ่งใน partner เปิดตัว CCIP 2.0
คิดว่าน่าจะเป็นแบงค์แรกในไทยที่คลุกวงในแบบจริง ๆ ถือเป็นข่าวดีกับอุตสาหกรรมไทยมาก
ทำไมผมถึงมองแบบนี้? เพราะว่า
1) มองในแง่ของสินทรัพย์การลงทุน สามารถเทรดระหว่าง asset ได้โดยตรง เราอาจจะเห็น tokenized asset ที่ออกในไทย สามารถแลกเปลี่ยนกับ asset ประเทศอื่น ๆ หรือแม้แต่การดึงดูดเม็ดเงินลงทุน จากต่างประเทศก็ทำได้ง่ายขึ้น
2) ผู้ลงทุนไทย ไปลงทุนต่างประเทศ หรือผู้ลงทุนต่างชาติ มาลงทุนในไทย สามารถทำได้ทันที (หลัง KYC) ตลอด 24/7 ไม่ต้องรอตลาดเปิดปิด
3) ทั้งหมดนี้ไม่ได้เป็นเรื่องใหม่ แต่การลงทุนโดยปราศจากตัวกลาง อย่าง broker อาจเพิ่มความคล่องตัว ความเร็ว หรือแม้แต่มีค่าใช้จ่ายที่ถูกลง (ไม่ต้องจ่ายให้คนกลาง)
4) แน่นอนว่า tokenized asset ต่าง ๆ คงมีการกำกับอย่างเข้มงวด ถึงเลเวล token และอาจจะยังไม่ได้เปิด full use case ทันที แต่ถือว่าเป็นการเปิดทางที่ดี
5) หลังจากนั้น ถ้าหน่วยงานมองว่า use case ต่าง ๆ ที่คนออกสามารถทำและมีการควบคุมที่ดี หลักเกณฑ์ ก็จะมีการพัฒนาต่อไป
ในอดีตเราจะเห็นแต่ use case แถว ๆ cross-boarder settlement หรือ payment ที่เทสกับ stablecoin บน sandbox อย่างเดียว
กลับกัน ผมตื่นเต้นมากเพราะเราอาจจะกำลังได้เห็น สิ่งที่ต่างประเทศทำกันแล้ว เกิดขึ้นในไทยเร็ว ๆ นี้

On Variational you can't withdraw your own funds permissionlessly
Read their contracts. As far as I can tell:
- Collateral sits in per-user usdc pools on arbitrum, ~$224m across ~208k pools
- You can deposit into your pool but you can't withdraw from it yourself. Every withdrawal goes through their oracle contract and only addresses with PROVIDER_ROLE can trigger it
- 17 addresses have that role, 16 of them plain wallets (EOAs). as far as i can read the code, any one of them can move usdc out of any pool on its own, and the contracts don't cap the amount
- The admin that hands out these roles and can pause the oracle is a single EOA: 0x8e4d1ad423e4f37600cda314fd3d99629ceaeabf. role changes take effect immediately
- Docs describe the olp vault as "a smart contract where the capital that powers OLP (USDC) is secured". the address they list for it, 0x74bbbb0e7f0bad6938509dd4b556a39a4db1f2cd, has no code. It's an EOA
- the protocol treasury, 0x5e91b40467fb8902c46a7b6cb90482363188d645 (~$12m usdc), is one of the 17 provider keys
Docs say the keys live on fireblocks. If there are policies on them (limits, quorum) that answers most of this, but none of it is visible onchain
@variational_io how is the admin key secured, do provider keys have limits, and how does a user get funds out if your backend is down?
