The latest predictions for the January Price Cap - AWFUL, up 28.8%! This is our internal MSE document where we average three forecasts and how its changed over the past few weeks as wholesale rates have continued to rocket.
PS Jan prediction is getting much more locked in as we're 85% through the 19 August to 17 November 2026 assessment period. April & July predictions are much more crystal ballgazing.
ALT Week-by-week predictions for how much the January 2027 energy price cap will rise from the current cap, averaged from British Gas, E.ON and EDF forecasts: 15 Sep: up 24.9% 22 Sep: up 22.9% 29 Sep: up 21.0% 6 Oct: up 20.9%, the low point 13 Oct: up 25.0% 20 Oct: up 25.7% 27 Oct: up 27.0% 3 Nov: up 28.8%, the highest yet The predicted rise eased through September, then has grown every week since early October.

Chris Kamara is showing Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain around a suite at the West Ham Hotel, the one that let fans wake up looking straight out at the pitch at Upton Park.
He’s showing them the bed and explaining it takes six minutes to clear the room on a match day, saying how much he’s looking forward to the game.
Then a woman walks out of the bathroom in a towel and goes, “Chris, are you gonna come scrub my back?”
Everyone loses it 😭
Kammy: “April, where’ve you come from?” 😂
April, acting shocked: “I’ve been here the whole time.”
Then the towel drops and she legs it.
Kammy, laughing his head off: “Helen, I’ve never seen her before in my life!”
He’s still cracking up when he adds: “It’ll be a fantastic game here today. There’s been a fantastic game going on here already.” 😂
Then he shouts for April to come back out while Lovejoy’s yelling “No, no, leave her in!”.
She pops back out and everyone loses it again. 😭
Absolutely brilliant. Kammy was so entertaining. Soccer AM, Soccer Saturday… Saturday football used to be so good.

I cannot tell you how much this has annoyed me and insulted thousands of business owners who pay your salary.
My Dad used to work 16 hours a day in the business he started. Is he not a working person? What about when my Mum opened her shops and did 60 hour weeks? Also not working?
What about business owners today? You’ve shown you have no understanding of what they go through and- heaven help us-you are at the treasury and help write the budget.
I’ll say again we are doomed.
