Brilliant short video by @TheTimes and @Switchback_ldn about being "set up to fail" on release. Inside Job works to remove both 'hard' (e.g. fuel costs, interview clothes) and 'soft' (low self esteem) barriers, but prison leavers need more from @HMPPS. youtube.com/watch?v=A-WPGS_u…

Our HMP Birmingham choir performing “Daydream Believer” 🎶 This year our choirs won 14 @KoestlerArts awards, bringing our total to 56. Each award shows the dedication of participants & musical directors, highlighting the impact of creative #artsinprisons.

TEAM AWAY DAY ! We had a fab time visiting our West Midlands team in Birmingham. Over two days we established exciting new strategies for the expansion of Inside Job, celebrating our success and getting the whole team together. We're all excited for what's to come!

We're excited to announce the arrival of two new recruits to our London office! Both will be carrying out frontline work to support Inside Job, our peer-led employment and resettlement programme, while supporting internal strategy. Welcome to Beating Time, Liv and Jem!

🎵This morning for #PrisonMusicWeek our choir in @stafford_hmp (Beyond Bars) joined forces with the chapel choir for a performance in front of staff, including the Governor! Watch our musical directors, Pete and Martha's, video diary for more ⬇️ #JanJailJam #PrisonMusicWeek

🎵"When I sing, it all goes away" Singing is a powerful mental health intervention. In prison, access to music and the arts is essential for the well being of people serving sentences and the prison community as a whole. #PrisonMusicWeek #JanJailJam @stafford_hmp

🎵#PrisonMusicWeek continues with our choir in HMP Gartree (Breaking Bars), led by our brilliant Lead Musical Director, Pete Churchill. They even had a surprise guest... See what Pete has to say about Breaking Bars this week in his #PrisonMusicWeek video diary! #JanJailJam

🎵 What does music mean to people serving prison sentences? We asked our choir in @HMPSwinfenHall and this is what they had to say... #PrisonMusicWeek #JanJailJam

We kicked off #JanJailJam with our choirs in @stafford_hmp (Beyond Bars) and @HMPSwinfenHall (The Swinfonics) 🎵 We were delighted to welcome Rachel Billington from @InsideTimeUK to watch Beyond Bars rehearse ahead of their Friday performance and chat all things #PrisonMusicWeek

We want 2023 to be a celebration of community music in prison 🎶🎉 That’s why we're launching #PrisonMusicWeek with @SingInsideUK @ChangingTunesSW @FindingRhythms @prisonchoir @MusicinPrisons & MORE to showcase the variety & quality of music being made in our prisons! #JanJailJam
