Let us #PrayTogether for the proper use of wealth, that not succumbing to the temptation of selfishness, it may always be put at the service the common good and solidarity of those who have less. Be a part of this prayer: popesprayer.va/praywiththepo… #PrayerIntention @clicktopray_en

As our founder, Mrs. Coretta Scott King, reminded us, every generation has a responsibility to answer the call to defend justice and advance the Beloved Community. May we continue this journey together with unwavering determination, compassion, and love, working toward a future worthy of the generations to come. #CorettaScottKing #MLK #TheKingCenter #BelovedCommunity #SocialJustice

An American couple on their honeymoon in Spain jumped in to assist first responders after their train brutally crashed. As a trained firefighter and nurse, they helped evacuate the injured from the trains and provided critical medical care.

Amazing !!! Thank you @StART_Toronto and Jarus for making #Toronto a more colourful, beautiful & vibrant city one mural at a time and for showcasing the creativity of local artists & @cityoftoronto as a global centre of creativity. @MayorOliviaChow, @kristynwongtam.
There’s a new mural in Cabbagetown. 🍁 Ecology of Us, a new 22-storey mural by Jarus at 140 Carlton St., transforms a building into a tribute to the maple tree that stood nearby in Allan Gardens. This City of Toronto, StreetARToronto mural advances reconciliation, diversity, equity and inclusion through public art, mentorship and community engagement, building more welcoming streets and a shared sense of belonging.🌳🎨 📸Jason Pinney

With the 2026 Poppy Campaign underway, what are some of the ways Canadians can show their support for Veterans outside of wearing a Poppy? Here are some ideas! 👉Show you Remember by posting a photo of your Poppy on social media, and use #GetYourPoppy 👉If you’re a local organization, contact your local Legion Branch about requesting a collection box to support the 2026 Poppy Campaign. 👉Donate to the National Poppy Fund Online: legion.ca/donations

At 22 years old, Allan “Scotty” Davidson was captain of the Toronto Blueshirts, the team that would later become the Toronto Maple Leafs, and led his team to the city’s first Stanley Cup victory. He left his team, his career, and his home behind to become one of the first professional hockey players to volunteer for the Canadian Expeditionary Force. On June 16, 1915, he was killed in action after a shell exploded near him in the trenches. He was one of the many thousands of Canadians who never came home and whose names and stories should never be forgotten. legion.ca/dontforget

New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area. Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer. Learn more about the change: toronto.ca/LocalSpeed
