We’ve made some real progress on housing this year on the federal level but the work is far from over.
We need to pass legislation like my Community Housing Act to help ensure every person has a safe, affordable place to live.
People want to get big money out of politics.
But no matter how many millions the ultra-wealthy throw into campaigns, it’s not going to change the fact that people materially do not feel like their lives are better right now.
We hear so much about rooting waste, fraud, and abuse out of our government. But the fact that the Pentagon has never passed an audit flies under the radar.
We never seem to have the money for food or health care, but we always seem to have plenty for war.

Just last week, I brought leaders from both sides of the U.S.-Canada border together along with local small businesses to discuss this asinine tariff regime with Canada.

I’m a proud Medicare for All supporter.
But as we fight for it, there are other things we can and must do to bring down the cost of care now.
We must dismantle ICE.
ICE was only created in 2003. We did immigration before ICE and we can do immigration enforcement without ICE.
Vermonters want a functioning, compassionate immigration system, and what we have now just isn't it.
Vermonters pay some of the highest health care costs in the nation.
And the Republicans’ so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” has made things worse, like by gutting $1 trillion from Medicaid.
When you look at it as a whole, the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” was a disaster for Vermonters.
The majority of it is geared towards the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us have ultimately had to pay the price for it.
