Watch out for ticks, folks!
I’ve contracted Lyme Disease after being bitten last month in Norfolk. If you develop a bullseye rash, contact a doctor asap
Three weeks of antibiotics should prevent severe symptoms.

Bit damp checking heifers this morning!
They don’t seem phased that the brook has burst its bank. Will check on them again after lunch 🐮☔️

Had to take a look at @agricontract combine today at Great Eccleston Show! A fantastic achievement by the team for a very worthy cause.
Very important for anyone involved in farming to take time to talk! #howareyoutoday

A wander through the heifer grazing land this morning. Accompanied by a chorus of birdsong!
Love using the @MerlinBirdID to identify each one 🌿

Farmers, who’s up for a challenge? Download the app called Merlin which can detect what birds are singing & over the next week share what birds it records on your farm. Let’s all share what we hear at this time of year🐤🐦⬛🦉🕊️

Manchester 1/2 Marathon 2023
Back in January when I struggled to run 3 miles without stopping, I set my New Year’s resolution to start running and do the 1/2 marathon with the FBW group.
Today I completed it - in 2 hrs 13 mins ☀️
@Great_Run
Saw @JRfromStrickley talk about the Merlin bird ID app.
The below results are from my garden at 3 different times today. 3 different groups of birds!!
1. 5.45 am
2. 2.30pm
3. 5.30pm
Will try it around the farm fields this week 😃

Please please please while out and about, if you see a sheep like this, roll her over. You will save her life…
We call this kessed in Cumbria, but it has lots of names. Fact is, if she’s on her back, she shouldn’t be. Thanks and please share… – at Little Strickland, England

Since 1997, the number of UK dairy cows has dropped by 30%.
Total milk production has increased by 8%.
More milk, with fewer cows, and lower emissions.
There are 278m dairy cows in the world. If each were as efficient as a UK cow, we would only need 80m.
The first of 2 calvings this evening so far 😀Spring is definitely here! 😬
