Today is #plaidurday! I wore my plaid flannel shirt out to knock doors today, in celebration of the first Friday in October (also known as plaidurday). I just had some amazing conversations with voters. So many people are tired of the name-calling at the Capitol. Our campaign has promised to work across the aisle for our community. This is an incredibly disturbing story out of Hastings. An 89-year-old woman was forced to flee her home after a man broke in and caused extensive damage. We have a generally safe community. We should work to ensure it stays safe. I’m thankful for the Hastings Police Department officers who responded and worked to protect this woman.
