Kalau dilihat data terbaru dari teman-teman aktivis lingkungan dan BMKG sampai Oktober 2026, wilayah Papua lagi banyak banget titik apinya alias hotspot.
🔥 Versi Greenpeace Indonesia: Mereka mencatat ada sekitar 1.634 titik sumber asap sepanjang Agustus sampai Oktober 2026. Nah, yang paling parah itu pas bulan September kemarin, tembus sampai 1.155 titik.
🔥Versi Walhi: Kalau Walhi narik datanya lebih panjang dari Januari sampai Oktober 2026, angkanya malah nemu sekitar 8.324 titik panas. Kebanyakan lokasinya ada di area proyek pemerintah (kayak food estate dan kebun tebu) sama lahan-lahan konsesi perusahaan.

Aid from Japan has been prematurely halted and aid from Malaysia and Singapore has been continually decline. At this point, assuming that this is out of incompetence instead of actual malice would be flattering the Indonesian government.
Indonesia has decided against declaring its prolonged forest and land fires a national disaster, saying it remains capable of managing the crisis.
Its coordinating security ministry acknowledged concerns over transboundary haze affecting neighbouring countries, including Malaysia, but said Indonesia was making every effort to contain the fires.
