Stephen Redic, 70, of Laconia, NH, was arrested after allegedly striking an 18-year-old Turning Point USA volunteer across the face with the back of his hand at a polling place booth on Election Day.
He is charged with misdemeanor simple assault and violation-level disorderly conduct. Arraignment is set for December 10 in Laconia.

A green card holder in Tarrant County allegedly voted early, then came back to cancel her ballot because she isn't a citizen.
According to a sworn affidavit from the county's lead clerk, she voted October 26 with a valid ID and a voter registration card.
She says she told a volunteer at a church voter registration event in Arlington that she wasn't a citizen. She says she was told to scan a QR code to check her eligibility, and a voter card showed up in her mailbox.
Tarrant County confirmed the case went to the Elections Integrity Task Force. It won't say whether her ballot was counted.
Think about that. The only safeguard that worked here was her conscience.
How many people got that same card and never felt bad about it?
Every voter registration drive in Texas needs to be audited, starting with this one.
