Hey so the fact that there are no plans to put a cycle lane directly through Oxford Street is good, actually. It would work if cyclists were capable of stopping at a zebra crossing to let pedestrians get to the other side of the road. That largely isn’t the case.

No and they shouldn't- the whole point is it's a destination *not* a thoroughfare. No through traffic.

So many bots and out of towners throwing tantrums about Oxford St being pedestrianised. Went midday, on a weekday and it was rammed. Space is needed and now we have it. Carnaby St has been pedestrianised since 1973, not one person thinks “I wish there were busses and cars here”

araki kinda has a "kill your darlings" type of attitude with part callbacks which is hard not to respect. only he would bring back a fan favorite from a previous part only to turn them into a turtle.

Cap thing got me wondering. Has there ever been a superhero passing the mantle that was universally well received? Peter -> Ben & Miles as Spider-Man has been bumpy. Steve -> Sam as Cap too. I think Terry as Batman is the only one everyone liked. Idk why though.

I think Terry works because they 1) didn't make Batman less capable to make room for a new guy, he grew old 2) Bruce is his mentor/handler 3) Terry isn't just instantly great, he's flawed & has to improve 4) It's far enough in the future for him to have his own rogues gallery
