I've copy traded on @strikeperps every day since August. This is everything I wish I'd known first: how copying works, what it costs, and the trade-offs.

The inaugural @strikeperps Hackathon begins in a few hours!
This 48-hour competition challenges builders to create something that integrates with or enhances the Strike ecosystem.
$3000 USD in prizes are up for grabs.
Every new app or integration built on Strike has the potential to expand its utility and create value for the whole ecosystem.
I'm excited to see what builders come up with! ⚡️

Adding @Cardano! Appreciate the partnership 🤝
If you copy trade anywhere, this is the part worth reading.
I replayed the same trader since July. Copying a fixed amount per trade at 10x, I'd have lost money. At 5x or lower, every version made money.
The trader was right. My leverage just got me liquidated before their trades played out.
Picking the trader gets all the attention. Picking the leverage mattered more.
At 10x, my replay turned a profitable Hyperliquid trader into a losing copy.
So I rebuilt how I pick traders on @strikeperps: every check I run before copying a wallet, plus how I choose the copy mode and leverage 👇

Flying cars and now this? 🤯🚀
I don’t think people fully understand what possibilities this could unlock...
Software that can copy itself, combine with other programs, and create new things we haven’t even thought of yet.
We might be looking at the beginning of something truly wild. 🔥

If you've got USDC sitting on Aave, it can do a second job.
Strike accepts Aave aUSDC as collateral. You keep earning Aave's supply interest, and you can borrow up to $1 for every $1 of it straight into Strike's vault, with no interest on the loan.
Same dollar, two jobs.

Where to do it: app.strikefinance.org/borrow…
Supply your aUSDC from an Ethereum wallet, then borrow into the vault from any wallet.

Strike is Cardano native, and a large share of our users come from the Cardano community. We're very bullish, so it's common to see 90% of traders on our platform going long.
Strike V2 is an order book (CLOB) exchange. On an order book exchange there are two prices, the mark price and the index price. The index price is the asset's price on other exchanges. Think of it as the real oracle price.
The mark price is the asset's price on our exchange. A perp exchange should keep the mark price as close to the index price as possible. The mark price is calculated from a few things, like the order book, the last traded price, and the index price itself.
On an order book exchange there are makers and takers. When takers keep trading in one direction, makers end up holding too much on the other side and need to offload it. To do that, they're willing to buy above market price or sell below market price until their position is back to a manageable size.
Right now on Strike, ADA's mark price is a lot higher than its index price. That's because people are giga long, and the MM bot is willing to buy ADA from you above market price to reduce its short positions.
Did we build the MM bot? Yes. Do we control the prices it quotes? Yes. Are we going to make it ignore its inventory, ignore risk measures, lose money, and lose its depositors' money? NO. We are just following normal risk measures that every single reasonable MM does. Literally.
We have one of the most transparent and detailed docs on how funding rate and prices are calculated on our docs.

PS: If you think this is unfair, just open a short on ADA on our platform and long on another. You earn 200% apr right now and help make our market more efficient.
Replying to @sz8ng
Could you stop manipulating the mark price of ADA in favor of the open positions of your vault? It is too much at this point; people will realize it, and your reputation will be gone.

As part of our treasury management strategy, we have already committed to RealFi (@realfi_co), a great project and initiative by Input Output. 🟢
Today, we are further diversifying our opportunities by allocating a portion of our sUSDrf to Strike (@strikeperps), exploring the growing potential of Cardano DeFi.
Special thanks to Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) for showcasing the potential of Cardano DeFi, and to Mauro Andreoli and Lucas Macchiavelli for their support throughout the onboarding process, their step-by-step guidance, and their clear explanations of the available tools.

New @Citi research positions Aave as a collateral mobility protocol for tokenized capital markets.
It calls collateral mobility one of tokenization’s most important use cases, with Aave able to take on functions that move tens of trillions of dollars in traditional finance.

The core of leadership is accountability.
When you encounter a leader in this space who takes accountability for everything, including failures, you've found a winner.
I saw that in @sz8ng, the founder of @strikeperps immediately!
He has absolutely no problem owning shortcomings and acknowledging gaps and opportunities.
That's the standard you should expect from any leader you invest your hard-earned money in.
Do not accept someone who gaslights or deflects, those are red flags and bad signs.
Do not accept lack of transparency. If you ask a question, you better get a clear answer. There may be exceptions to this, but it should be just that, an exception.
It's easier to win in this space than you think, if you're willing to stay open and curious and not marry your bags.
